Now lets can the Sharks in the 2nd round, Isles should upset the Pens, and the Sens can get rid of the Habs and I'll be happy. From there, I'd be happy with whatever happens. I thought the Wild had the highest? If Pronger wasn't on the IR the Flyers are sitting at about 73 mil I think going into the summer. They should have bought out Pronger during the season and Bryzgablob in the offseason. The Canucks though have some real issues. People think were soft? That team is a bag of marshmallows.

I'm with ya on this one. I hate the Ducks so much and want them gone. Even Selanne, a player I've always liked, and Getzlaf are annoying me with their pissy attitudes and their cheap shots. I hope the Wings win this one big tonight and like someone else said on page 1, the fans in the Honda Centre start chanting lets go Wings! Round 2 would be awesome if it were Hawks vs Wings and Kings vs Sharks, as long as the Sharks take a hike in round 2. I hope they get rusty as hell.

Honestly, I think out of your list, Michael Ryder would be a perfect fit here. Dude can snipe and he's right handed as a bonus. If we got him and didn't re-sign guys like Cleary and maybe even let Flip go if he wants too much, then we can still have the Nyquist's and Tatar's in the line up and acquire a guy like Ryder. You're damn right it was. Ericsson showed everyone what he is capable of and that he's a legit big time shutdown Dman. He kept his game simple and he showed a lot of poise picking up the puck and just making the right plays. Good outlet passes and really good D zone coverage on guys. He was using his size and pushing guys around a lot last game and it was a thing of beauty.

That's why losing DeKeyser was so huge. He's our calm, cool, collected guy back there.

Best of luck to him. He keeps getting destroyed by big players, so Europe will likely be a better place form his speed and game style. The big ice will serve him well.

Cleary, Sammy, White, Coliacovo and often Quincey can take the train. I'll cheer for everyone else as always. I consistently complain about those plugs and will continue to do so. To offset my distaste for that group, I will praise the other guys anytime I see fit. Doesn't matter if you're a casual Wings fan, or die hard. There's gonna be guys that you love on the team and guys you'd rather not have on the team. Complaning about guys like Cleary falling down all the time is a great way of venting when they constantly blow your mind with their horrific play. If on one ever bitched about any of our players, why would we even bother starting threads about different topics?

I absolutely hate the Cansucks and the Sharts, though Couture getting the butt end to the head, deserves retribution on some end. I actually hope that Vancouver pushes this to 7 and loses so the Sharks are good and tired for round 2, and beaten up, and I hope Couture goed Dr. Hook McCraken on Sedin's ass! It's time for the sisters to get a taste of their own medicine. Those 2 chumps are as bad as Crysby with the stick work.

Apparently shooting a puck at a guy on the other team at the 19:59 mark of the 3rd in a 6-1 loss is totally sportsmanlike too. Shanny's still watching the game tape, or did he just let it all slide cause stick work is ok in the NHL? I'd love to see him "breakdown" that game in one of his Shanaban clips.

In a "How Stella got her groove back" type way . He was making a lot of rookie mistakes over the past group of games. He seemed to settle down finally after his 1st goal and then he assisted on the GTG. I really wish he went full circle and assisted on the GWG too, but I'm just glad the boys got it in a game where they deserved a win. I still love how the Ducks had 3 PP's to our 1 and the "high-sticking" call on Andersson where Perry's stick hit his own face, right after that the Ducks got away with mauling Dats and 1 other penalty. I also loved the blatant interference of the Ducks Dman on Tuzzi in the 1st period. Refs really set a tempo of not calling jack for the Wings right away. Good thing the hockey gods favored us in that game, and so they should have. They worked their asses off last night.

Id play Eaves over Cleary and then Tootoo can be in the line up as well.

If he was going full speed, his feet would have still been moving. He coasted to the hit. Yes he was going fast, but he wasn't accelerating into the hit.

Hockey's a fast game, and sometimes things happen where guys get hit in the head. If the equipment still protected the players, but made it less impactful when someone got hit hard there would be a lot less injured players, and the duration of injuries would be minimized.

That's what I was aiming for. I went to an extreme because the NHL is such extreme BS these days. Make equipment out of the crock material and you'll have less roadkill on the ice. I'm gonna look it up and get back to you guys on it, cause I think it's really worth while to have the NHL implement proper equipment for not just goalies but players too.

Dats has 2 assists and Z has 1, but yes, we need them to be on the scoresheet if we want to win this series.

It kinda sucks though that Abdelkader is out, cause the past 15-20 games he's been really really good. He's scoring, hitting and he's getting the puck for Z and Dats. He's the new Homer with a different useful set of skills aside from the puck retrieval part, which they're both good at.

Answering everything with "no comment" is why no one learns anything watching hockey anymore aside from a visual aid of learning what a "suicide pass" is and dad saying to his kid...keep your head up bud and don't send those passes up the middle to your teammates when they're in coverage. Seeing as Diaz is a professional hockey player, he should have known better to make that pass. Gryba is WAY bigger than Eller and Diaz had to have seen him skating straight towards Eller in anticipation of that pass.

Abby has a borderline hit where he didn't target the head and his feet didn't leave the ice until the impact was made, and yes I watched it frame by frame, he gets 2 games? No way dude, the primary point of contact in brawls is not the head and there were of course no suspension worthy acts in the 3rd period. Only borderline hits where the ref initially isn't even calling a 2 minute minor get suspensions.

I turned the game off right after they got a goal on the 5 min BS PP. I no longer have any faith in the NHL. Rich is right, hockey was better in the 80's, and I loved the early 90's. Hockey was played by men back then.
