I've watched probably 20 Hawks games this year and even more last year and I completely disagree with you. He's a lot better than his days in Toronto showed. I'd take him over that meathead Clowe any day of the week. And I'd take a 20 goal season over most of what we have right now.

I'd put Brunner and Nyquist in the top 6 and Tatar on the 3rd line. I like the idea someone had of getting Stalberg and Clarkson.

Wasn't Z's best goal scoring season, 43 goals 92 points I believe the year after he spent the entire summer in the gym doing strength training? He is a smaller forward with groin and back issues... He needs to build massive strength in the offseason like he did prior to his 43 goal season and we'll see a Hank that can play even harder, take more punishment and get more grunt behind his shots and dial in the sights. I remember him saying after his bulk up offseason that his conditioning wasn't as good as usual, but he felt stronger. We'll re-sign White and Cleary to pick up the slack. Without Z and Dats in the way they'll turn into Ovie and Green from a few years ago.

The kind of guys you're talking about are the guys that get the puck and create space for the guys like Gaborik, Atkinson and Calvert. Can't wait to see the 3 guys they draft in the 1st round this year. I may actually wait to cancel my cable until the draft is done. Very interested in this years 1st round. And I will go on record. If the BJ's work hard enough to take our playoff spot, I may actually cheer for them come playoff time cause they WANTED IT MORE!

Stalberg is also over 6 feet as well if i'm not mistaken, about the same size as Clarkson. I like those 2 cause Stalberg is fast as s*** and creates a lot of fast break scoring chances as a result. He'd also be great with Goose. Clarkson would be the perfect addition for Dats and Z. Tough as nails, can shoot and he's got skill around the net. He loves getting his nose dirty around the net. And I agree, I want Sammy and his sore nipples bought out and Cleary not re-signed. White is as good as gone. That 3rd line of Tatar-Helm-Nyquist would be better and faster than Huds-Flip-Sammy and a hell of a lot more exciting to watch. And with Flips production, if he wants anymore than 3.5 mil (for a player type we have WAY too many of) take a walk. Like I said before, have fun in Calgary with Huds and enjoy obscurity.

I'm gonna take a different angle. The play that gives our D fits is our forwards not giving them proper passing lanes for the breakout pass. Just skating in straight lines up the boards.

Maybe the BJ's are doing really good cause their young players like Calvert and Atkinson are getting loads of icetime, the kind Nyquist and Tatar should have been getting all year. That and they traded 3 ok players and a 6th round pick for the sniper WE NEEDED!

The business side of the game should make Cleary clear waivers on his way to GR and Tatar should be a full time Wing. Anyone who thinks he can't make a bigger impact than Cleary, or anyone in our bottom 6 did not watch him while he was up, and that includes Wings' management. I'd be annoyed if I were him too. No way dude....we'd be a cup contender.
