Does everyone remember the last goal he got where Nyquist passed him the puck when he was on his off wing ready for a one-timer and he hammered it home a la Stamkos and Ovechkin? If he was able to play left wing (I think he's on the right side) and line up there all the time and had a heads up passer like Gus who puts it on the tape he'll get a lot more of those and his value will be even greater. This just falls into the thread as well "the Wings have no offensive creativity". Babcock just needs to keep set pairs together. Z-Dats, Brunner-Goose, and Mule-Flip and slot guys around them if he wants a puck retriever. Brunner's 1st season, he's had at least 1 shift with probably every forward on the Wings. There's no continuity. He's in a new league getting to know new linemates every 5 shifts.

Lets just hope that DeKeyser, Sproul, Ouellet and Backman turn into stars. Jimmy's GAA will be under 1.50

Let's assume they all retire at 38, which may be realistic. Their contracts come off the books cause they were signed before 35. Then we'll take into account that apparently the NHL came back stronger than ever again after yet another lockout....so the cap will go up from 64.3 mil in a year in all likelyhood. The more the cap goes up, the less we mind the contracts they have. The contracts I hate are the one's overpaying 3rd and 4th liners and depth D like Sammy, Cleary, Quincey, White etc. when we should be seeing the young guys come up to stop whining about overripe.

With Ovie you can expect that 1.219 ppg every year and for an average of 79 games, 3 for suspension if we want to tag it. He's a tank that doesn't get injured and he leads the league in shots every year, so I'll take his 2.8% less shooting. Crosby is the better overall player as I stated before, but he's been injured since Steckel allegedly should have "got out of King Crosby's way".... Ovechkin comes across like a bridge troll in interviews and his hot stick dance was embarrasing, but he's single handedly carrying the Caps into a playoff spot. Crosby is injured and his stacked team is rolling along without him.

There it is. Gamecentre is light years behind. Glad Abdelkader got it. He's been our best forward tonight. He's working his ass off, which is more than I can say for half our floaters this game. Z still looks like his groin is bugging him a lot.
