Marleau got his 1st goal in his last 8 games. Feeling good about this game. He still got a point. And he just skated through the slot and came very close to getting a nice deflection goal. 2-2 now after a Jets Dman pushed Fleischmann onto Pavelec, but they shrugged it off and have about 6 scoring chances since that.

That was Gagnon. Got the Jets game on my other tv. Wheeler and Ladd with the assists. And they're up 2-1 right now just over 5 minutes in cause they go hard to the net and are fast and they actually create offensive plays and chase rebounds and hit and all that stuff that makes hockey exciting.... The Wings are letting me down cause they play like sissies.

Agreed. We have 5 top 6 guys and 18 3rd/4th liners. Why can't we score? At this point, I'd rather Holland offer Mason Raymond 3 mil to come add some more speed to our top 6 or spread the wealth to the 3rd line to have a ridiculous fast line with Helm.

We have as much of a chance to beat the Hawks as the Leafs have of beating the Bruins. It CAN happen. I wouldn't bet money on it, but I actually believe we can take down the Hawks.

It may take Mrazek 6 years to be better than Howard. Patterson may sneak up and leapfrog Mrazek on the depth chart. In the meantime, we have an incredible goalie in Howard for 6 years.

I would say the only guys on your list better than Howard are Lundqvist and Rinne. Howard = Luongo, Price and Andersson. Miller and Ward are not consistent. Jimmy has proven to be quite consistent.

That's a pretty cool story. Thanks for sharing. It would make my life to get a call up to be a Red Wing and play just 1 shift and your dad was a roster player for his time. Hell, I'm excited to get back on the ice at noon today for some summer pick up. Gordie Howe is awesome.

I don't even see how we can begin to compare Crosby and Ovechkin. They're completely different players. Crosby is better all around, but Ovechkin is the superior goal scorer. Stamkos and Malkin would also have to be in the mix and I agree with the Toews being nominated to that group as well. As much as I dislike Crosby and Malkin, the list of guys above is what makes the NHL so competitive and exciting. Dats is up there obviously, I figured that wen't without saying.

The Griffins should be loaded with our top prospects next year shouldn't they? They already got Jarnkrok and Pulkkinen. I thought someone said on here that Backman was coming over next year?? Jurco is in his 1st season, Ferraro is getting better, Mrazek has been great this year, Marchenko and Nedomlel hopefully, Sheahan's still there along with Almqvist and Callahan. I'm hoping that Sproul and Ouellet will be there, and McKee would be nice to scout as well. I for one am excited and will likely get the AHL type Gamecentre that someone on here brought to my attention last week and watch every Wings and Griffins game all FULL season long.

Agreed on Sammy. Bert can literally lay around on the LTIR. Only buy him out if he retires. If not, can Colo or Quincey along with Sammy, unless Sammy is on LTIR too. LTIR all the scrubs...this is my final offer.
