anyone else kinda happy about the injuries this year?
Z Winged Dangler replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
Ian White was in the press box for 6 games in favour of Lashoff. Once Flip and Helm come back we could rotate guys and give breaks, but i'd love to see Cleary and possible Abdelkader sit a few out, cause Andersson and Tatar have been 2 of our best guys and there's no way in hell Eaves should be scratched either. In fact, keep that 3rd line together the rest of the season and through playoffs and we may just make it to the 2nd round. -
Does anyone remember when Ovechkin used to be fun to watch? My memory is fading.

Gamecenter works better on Xbox than regular internet streaming believe it or not.

I'm with you on this one. If we miss the playoffs or get bounced in the first round, we have a good chance of getting Ryan Pulock in the draft. The boys are simply not scoring enough. They have stretches of games where they look like they're gonna start scoring in bunches, but we only killed Vancouver, but thank god for that cause i hate them....lots. The bad line combos and crap like that is killing what momentum we get from the production line of Tatar-Andersson-Eaves when Z and Dats come out with one or both of Cleary/Abs on their lines. If Holland can get Ryan Pulock in the 1st round and the guy in the CHL with the most hits in the 2nd round, then i'll be happy losing 1 more season. It wouldn't hurt if he would draft the rest of the guys in rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger at forward and groom them all as power forwards, but that's just my crazy idea. As for us winning the cup or not, I also think make the playoffs and anything can happen. It depends on which Wings team shows up. The one who destroyed Vancouver or the one who lost the season series to the BJ's.

Mid-Season Report: Holland Trusting The Farm

Perry will be for the right price a la Tatar and Ouellet or Sproul = no thanks and Wheeler is far from available from the Jets. -
Winnipeg slated to host 2016 outdoor game

I gotta try and get tickets to this if it goes through. Likely will lose a nut to frostbite in January here, but it'll be badass to go to one of these. Joking or serious? Cause the first Heritage Classic happened prior to the Winter Classic and paved the way for them. Or is it garbage cause most of the teams here in Canada are in fact garbage? Cause to that, other than the Jets, I would agree. -
We have enough physical players in our line up . Hitting is for *******! Lets move the puck if it's not intercepted and then dump and don't chase. That's what we did against the BJ's all weekend. At least we know that White was not the answer...

Holland says those dreaded words, "Our Deadline Addition"
Z Winged Dangler replied to Jedi's topic in General
Loss in the 1st round sounds about right. -
I hope the only reason they put him in instead of Lashoff is so teams don't forget his name at the trade deadline and that he can be had for a bag of pucks, or peanuts.

Cleary is the problem on every line he ends up on. Flip should be back against Calgary Wednesday I believe Mick was saying last game and he should bump Cleary down. When Cleary is on your line, your scoring goes down. He's got squat for hockey sense. Abby needs to go back to 4th line centre. Keep Tatar-Eaves-Andersson together cause they've been our best line the past 10 games. Just get Cleary and Abs back to the 4th line cause the experiment is failing. Move Tootoo up to be the retriever. Have the lines of: Tootoo-Z-Brunner Flip-Dats-Franzen Tatar-Andersson-Eaves Cleary-Abdelkader-Miller Cleary and Abs can continue to shut guys down and Dats can score more than a point per game again. Done.

Agents and dumbass GM's are the biggest reason for price increases of players and 3 lockouts. Can the agents and let the players talk to the GM's like adults.

Tatar's shot was going in if it didn't hit Cleary's leg. Not Cleary's fault, but the guy just doesn't get bounces. -

Miller and Cleary on the PP??? f*** this. I'm playing Mass Effect until i hear something interesting cause i'm in fact losing interest in Babcock's useless coaching and this team that doesn't hustle worth a damn. -

If you can't bury PP goals on the BJ's, then you're not a Cup team. -

Cleary is a 13th forward playing in the top 6. I want to vomit. -

Exactly. The only guys moving their feet constantly are Brunner and Tatar. Way to take the weekend off. The rest of us worked 40 hours this week and were looking forward to this BS. -

The Jackets have been on the PP since yesterday afternoon. The Wings have been terrible and the refs are s*** too. Calling everything on the Wings and nothing on the BJ's. Thanks for something to cheer for Kindl. He's been awesome lately. Glad my whole post wasn't negative. -
This sucks. I wanted to see him test the UFA market and hopefully answer Kenny's call.
-
Yet another question. Would you have to protect players that are on an ELC?
-
As far as I'm concerned, you shouldn't have to protect guys that you drafted and developed. The only guys that you should have to protect are guys that you acquired via trade or UFA/RFA signing. No team should be able to turn around and take a guy like Mrazek, Nyquist, Tatar or Smith. I actually hope the league with as mentioned above teams like the Yotes struggling that they don't expand until there's actually 30 healthy teams in the NHL. Not just 12 teams making profits. Rumors of expansion could also provoke a string of 1 year signings for players until this acually happened. If the player is UFA until the draft was completed, then the team could sign their deals the next day and have a verbal agreement until then so they could protect more of their players. I would have a serious discussion with any players i'm re-signing if i'm the GM to let them know they're part of the plan, but so is everyone else that's signed long term.

It's cause they have solidified pairings on D now that have great chemistry. All 3 pairs are playing lights out.

So close...empty netter for his 1st of the year. Quota has been reached.

Schultz played half a season in the AHL cause of the lockout, and he was playing with Eberle, Nuge and Hall. Hardly a bad deal. Dekeyser likely won't sign here to play in GR, he'll do what Schultz did and go to a team that needs his services now.
