While I'd love to see Wheeler on the Wings...haha Winged Wheeler....he's a fan favorite in Winnipeg and the coaches love him. Unless Nyquist and Jurco or something of the sort came the other way i doubt the Jets even consider moving him though he'd have a badass nickname here

As much as I'd love to keep Flip, with the cap dropping next season anything more than 4 million is too much. If he wants that much, wait for Babcock to bring up Nyquist and turn him into a centre. I have a feeling that Flip will get a 3 year 12 million contract or he won't be a Wing next season.

I may not renew NHL gamecenter or re-start my cable next hockey season if that bum re-signs. I've had more than enough of him being useless and falling all over the place watching Dats be a 1 man show. Time to turn the page.

We're usually always on the same page, but I think after the performance Franzen put on the past couple games, he could be mistaken for a float on parade. He was beyond terrible the past couple games floating around even more than usual, not being "hard on the puck" as the announcers ripped him for many times last game. Dude's just lazy. He got set up by Brunner in the slot and took the pansiest shot i've ever seen. The only thing he's done well since he came back from injury is the one time he slowly drove the net and got a half decent shot off. Other than that he's been pretty much the announcers jogging (can't even call it running when talking Franzen) joke.

All fixed. Let fatty earn some ice time for a change on the 3rd line.

There's a guy i'd trade Franzen for. He'd help balance out the top 6 you were mentioning. But I also just noticed that I left Andersson out of that lineup. I'd have to bump Sheahan down as the 13th forward in that case. He'd open up space for guys too like he's doing for Tatar and Eaves currently. God I love that line.

Cleary and Abdelkader? Naw, they're not so good. You must be talking about Datsyuk, who won a cup his rookie year on the 3rd line if i'm not mistaken, and then Mr. Zetterberg whom should have won the Calder trophy but Barrett Jackman won it for god knows why... Yeah those guys are pretty good. I guess the Wings have never sucked enough since Yzerman was drafted to have a rookie run the top line. Tatar and Nyquist I'm gonna guess will soon be on the 2nd line with Andersson probably to start next season and with added ice time we should expect 40-55 points each. They're both capable and both have the work ethic and talent to be 70-80 point players one day. What we need isn't necesarily power forwards, but skilled players with more skilled grinders. If we have 2 shutdown lines in a couple years of Sheahan-Jarnkrok-Eaves and Callahan-Helm-Tootoo with a top 6 of Brunner-Z-Nyquist and Tatar-Dats-Franzen then I for one would be more than happy with that team, unless Franzen can be unloaded.

I'm in the boat too that Franzen would be better to trade than Flip. Give Flip 3.8-4 mil per for a few years and then assess him again then. He is a really good 2-way player who hustles and his only real knock is that he needs to shoot more...way more. Franzen on the other hand, while he had a good stretch of games this year, he's back to his lazy self. He stopped hitting, he's taking weak ass shots and he doesn't hustle in the least. I say try and trade Franzen to Calgary for a 1st round pick if they'll give it up. I don't care if we get anything else other than a 1st cause that would give us a good shot at getting a pick close enough to get Ryan Pulock and it'll free up a roster spot to keep Tatar and maybe bring up Nyquist, both of which also hustle and don't piss off the general population of LGW. So as far as i'm concerned, that would be win-win.

But I thought todays power forwards were Joe Thornton, Johan Franzen and Nik Antropov? A guy I'd like would be Jakub Voracek. He's kind of the Power Forward playmaking goal scorer that Franzen was supposed to be. Philly won't be letting him go anytime soon though. Columbus looks better with every trade they make!

Ah...there it is. He's big, but he's slow and terrible with the puck. If you want WAYYY more bonehead penalties though, he's your guy. He's worse than our current healthy scratch White.

Clowe is not the answer. Clarkson is bang on, but Clowe is basically Abdelkader with slightly more offence. Bickell is also pretty good. The Getzlaf mention would be nice, but he'll likely re-sign with the Ducks. If he doesn't, throw him 6.5-7 per for 5 years.

Franzen's hockey sense is terrible.

Brunner just puts so much effort into puck retrieval. It's fun to watch him.

They're all pretty weak. Once Flip, Tuzzi and Helm are back, they better fight for those roster spots cause those 3 bring it every night. They do their job and do it well.
