Igainla is UFA next year so it may just be a rental, so it shouldn't cost as much as some would think. The question is, in Iginla's eyes would he make our team a legit contender? That may prompt him to look elsewhere. I'd see Boston going after him of Alfredsson like TSN stated a week or so ago.

There's a number of us wjo have been around for a lot of years here and have a lot of different opinions on a lot of our guys but just cause some of the opinions are negative doesn't mean we're trolls. It simply means we don't like that player. If you make a strong case than by all means say your piece. It's when you come in and say "Cleary's lazy and he sucks" and that's all you add to a conversation, thats trolling. When you state that he doesn't belong in the top 6 and give reasons like he doesn't have the hockey sense of legs to keep up with Dats, hes been taking stupid untimely penalties and gives the puck away excessively and most of his shots are bread basket and from the side boards, then with those comments i actually raise an argument within the topic.

The only problem most of us have right now is that Cleary should be moved down and Tatar moved up and it's severely angering most of us. If the guys were where they belonged, this thread likely wouldn't even exist.

I've hated Franzen for a couple years now cause of his floating and complete lack of intensity...cause he gets "bored" playing in the NHL. But this year after the 2nd game of the year, I would have to agree with a lot of people here that Franzen has been really good. Before his injury he was hitting, hustling and going to the dirty areas and coming out with the puck. I for one can't wait for him, Helm, Tuzzi and Smith to come back. Then we can really grade our team. Lately a D-. With those guys back we actually have a shot at the playoffs.

Ya I'm pretty sure the announcers said during the game that he'd be back after the back to back weekend games. It'll be nice to get Smith back up in the top 4.

2008 was quite a while ago now. He used to be a good point contributor, but he can't stickhandle or hold on to the puck at all. Tatar can, and that's who should be on the 2nd line with Dats. Andersson should go with him and Cleary and Abs can move back to the bottom 6.

The only reason i can come up with that Babcock is keeping those guys in the lineup is to show Holland the team he gave him. Hey Kenny, why'd ya sign Cleary so long and thanks for Logo Hunter back for the game he played. At least Tootoo has been nice. I wonder if Babs has any say in who gets called up or if Kenny is in charge of it. It seems strange that Gus is in GR when Babcock seemed to like him.
