and no one is one-timing the puck. they need to shoot before the guys are in position to block the shot.
-
they won't give a penalty shot if the player gets a shot off
-
where is Eaves? he played great on the line with Tatar and Andersson a couple games back.
-
Not soon enough!
-
this decade, as in after 2010. he's been a skating band-aid and now he can't manage to do anything at all with the puck, unless you count his 1 goal/point this year and this is the 15th game of the season. Cleary used to be good, but it's a what have you done for me lately league and the answer is take up a roster spot.
-
Cleary's having an off decade.

Anyone else getting pissed that the Wings can't hold leads

It seems we revisit this thread 2 out of every 3 games. Let the goalie see the puck or get the eff out of the way. Better idea....dont let him see the puck and blow another lead. -
Ya, the first 20 seconds until after Dats' goal celebration.
-
Just Sammy and White need to go. Throw on Ericsson and Lashoff.
-
that should be 5 and a game on Setoguchi. Head shot with the cross check... come on refs.
-
Z-Dats-Brunner Tatar-Flip-Andersson Tootoo fights 3x and sit the rest of the fwds. Nice 2nd period dicks.
-
So is 2/3 of our 2nd line being spare parts.
-
He played really well on EV Zug with Brunner and Z and he's a solid Dman. Watched a few Habs games this year and he looked good. So yes, i am serious. If he came for a decent price I'd be all for it. Here's another beauty of a quote for Babcock. I really need Filapapoola to get going, so..... I'm going to have him centre the 2nd line and I'll give him Cleary and Sammy. Geez, let's watch him rack up the points with those spare parts.
-
Only when Babcock calls out Filppula and then gives him Sammy and Cleary.... At least give him Tatar and Andersson so he's got something to work with.

If we went after anyone on the Yotes, I'd rather have Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

Healthy starters the problem, Not young replacements

Mrs. Parise and Mrs. Suter had everything to do with the destination that the Thunderbuddies ended up in, and that's Minnesota. End of story. Perry could test the market this summer, but not sure if he'd end up here. I'd like to see him or Getzlaf, but they can still re-sign with the Ducks before 1 July. I'd like Iginla as well and I personally think he's our most realistic target. -

What happens when the kids want raises? Throw them away? Perry, Parise and Suter are not worth 9 mil per. None of them. Parise and Perry 7 max and Suter 5.5 max. Especially with the cap going down. There's a reason that Minnesota has no depth and that's cause anyone on their team with skill makes 6-7.5 mil per and they signed a fresh off the boat rookie to 3.25 mil. their GM wears clown shoes and his team sucks ass. -
On a pairing with Smith please.

GDT 2/15 GDT : Anaheim Ducks 5 at Red Wings 2

Babcock did that when Helm playd. He and Tootoo had the 5 hit shift. -
Yandle = Kronwall. I've watched a bunch of games involving the Yotes this year and noticed just that. What we're missing is a guy that's basically Ericsson with more offence. I'm waiting for Oullet and Sproul to turn pro cause I think those 2 are the real deal. What i wouldn't mind seeing though is trying to get a guy like Diaz from the Habs. We need solid Dmen for now that can keep the puck out of our net and provide occasional offence, which is why we need Huskins back in the line up. He's the only shutdown D we have not named Ericsson.
-
If that happens, it's the apocalypse and the world should probably blow up. i sincerely hope that if a thread comes up saying that Dats or Z are average that Matt makes the thread disappear FBI style, leaving no trace of its existence.
-
And that's exactly why i started this thread. I've watched every Wings game this year now that I got Gamecenter and he's been a complete lugnut. And Ericsson has been our best Dman game in and game out. Those are the kinds of things you need to be able to "expect" from your best players, like Dats, Z and Helm. You know what they're going to bring you game in game out. And for your last paragraph, Tatar and Andersson = hard working kids. Great post. You should come around more.

Me too. Tuzzi has been awesome. s***, his first game back after missing the start of the year he had what? 2 goals? I also love his nasty shootout goals and then the expression on his face of a kid trying to hide that he just did something bad. Good times. -
Franzen was actually doing a decent job on the PP in Homer's role, but as fate would have it, he's injured. The Wings need a 3rd jersey with a band-aid on a ratty broken looking Wing. Pretty soon the press box for players will be a giant hot tub to soak all the injured players during the games. There's no such thing this year as the Black Aces call ups cause they're all going to be regulars . Hey Mike, who are your Black Aces this year? Well, I got Sprahoul, Ouahletti and Ja-hurco. Kids names these days are so hard to pronounce, i'm still working on learning Filapapoola... There's your next Babcock quote.

I agree. I would go as far as to say this is an experiment year and the 2 goalies can split time until Monster comes back and then get Mrazek carrying the load again in GR. I'm really liking what we're seeing from all the GR boys.
