Filppula has been really good this year too, and as much as you hate Franzen, he's been pretty good after the first couple games. Howard isn't fighting to see the puck. He's just waiting for people to move and wondering why it keeps sailing past him into the net. Mrazek should start against the Blues to wake up the Wings.
-
Dekeyser isn't gonna sign here and get buried in the minors until he's 27. and Kenny's not gonna draw kids attention to the Wings if they don't even get to earn a spot on the Wings and cash in even a little after their ELC.
-
Parros and his stache are awesome. Should have signed him and Tootoo. Parros has a monster shot when the coach lets him take them and not be a prize fighter.
-
Leafs won 3-2 tonight.
-
Huskins better be here next season. He's our new Brad Stuart. Solid Dman and clearly a good team guy. Hits and sacrifices the body to block shots.
-
I was hoping for him or Drouin. Preferably both, but 1 of them would be nice. This is brutal.
-
Time to bring Nyquist back up. And play him on a line with Tatar and Tootoo as the bodyguard.
-
All season long yo!

I haven't missed a single Wings game this year... Cleary and Kronwall (think I jinxed him with the Kronwall is a #1 Dman thread...my bad) have taken at the least 1 bad penalty per game. They've both been horrific.

Hudler skates like a Timbit
-
love the hustle from Tatar
-
once again Z turns a little momentum with a great shift. time for a Cleary penalty!
-
no penalty on Stajan? ok cool...
-
the Wings battle back as usual and yet again another stupid untimely Dan Cleary penalty f***s things up and the boys are down 2 again. i want to punch Cleary in his idiot face. TIME TO GO DAN!!!
-
that was an '08 cup run vs the Avs goal by Franzen. nasty.
-
can someone take a GOOD shot at the net?
-
7-1 Wings. Iginla gets the lone Flames goal and Hudler is -5 with no points and no shots.

GDT 2/1 GDT : Blues 3 at Red Wings 5 (Z with Hat Trick)

I'd love Backes on the team. And i'd definitely take Stevens on this team too in his day. Once Holland lets some guys like Nyquist, Lashoff, Sproul, Oullet, etc come up and get the Wings younger, the future of our team is very bright, along with the acquisition of a nice talent like Brunner. This year though, too many injuries and the production from our 3rd and 4th lines is just disgraceful. Those 2 things are going to be our boys' downfall. St. Louis I already stated that I believe will win the cup this year. Top to bottom they have the deepest, most talented team and they're healthy. It never hurts when you have a rookie like Tarasenko and a speedy 3rd liner in Schwartz topped off with a healthy McDonald. Pietrangelo for the Conn Smythe and a Blues Cup win is my only prediction for this year. -
As if I didn't already love Mrazek enough, he puts Peter Griffin on his mask and becomes my new favorite goalie! Howard and Lundqvist are in the back seat.

Hence why I made my earlier comment. Someone needs to lighten the mood... Ilitch is the man, end of story. Any Wings fan that has anything negative to say about him needs to take a step back and look at the pre-Yzerman era. It's a good thing that the opinions of douchebag knowitalls on this forum aren't taken seriously by anyone in the real world.

I'd do him

there goes half the damn season!

Pietrangelo is my favorite Dman outside of the Wings organization hands down. He was amazing for Canada at the WJC too. Shattenkirk is also an amazing Dman. If Pietrangelo somehow signed with the Wings this summer, I'd no doubt poop myself, but for some reason I don't think I'll be wiping s*** off my undies. But I'd definitely be ok with it if I had to bring in the clean up crew. -
And if i'm not mistaken, the Wings held Crysby to a mere 1-2 pts in the 6 game SCF.
