The only thing i'm not sure on though is McKinnon or Drouin. Cause Drouin is awesome. He reminds me a lot of Matt Duchene, when he's not injured.

At least that team would be interesting to watch and FAST. The Wings lineup this year is stale aside from the regular contributors like Z and Dats. If Quincey's play doesn't improve soon, he will likely be taking the train this offseason. Mrazek is gonna push Howard for the starting job within the next 2 years and I disagree with you about Sproul and Oullet (or however we're gonna spell his name) and I believe they should be on the team asap. Holland's overripe philosophy is just one of the reasons that we likely won't see DeKeyser sign here cause he's not gonna want to spend half his 20's in GR when he could be on an NHL roster next year. And for all the guys that think Seth Jones is the quick fix for D, Oullet was better than him in the WJC and Sproul should have been there to RUN the D on Canada....instead, he was the player of the month in the CHL in December. As well, if Iginla doesn't want to sign here, maybe Perry or Getzlaf would as they're both still under 30 and both have cup rings.

I stuck Ironhook in my 2nd line in another thread with Flip centering the 3rd. I hope hes here for sure next season along with Oullete and Sproul wjo i dont believe need GR time. They're gtg

Iginla if he signs in the offseason...along with the guys already mentioned. We need the boys to poop the bed this year and make a couple trades to try and get McKinnon, Droin and Pulock. That would be a damn fine 1st round of the draft

I just noticed something...you live in the Shire lol. Sorry, couldn't help myself. On topic, I kinda want things to get mildly worse for the Wings this year. Already 9 injuries and then only one set to come back next game is Kindl...that speaks for itself. As far as i'm concerned, the Wings need to finish bottom 5 and get McKinnon or Drouin. I don't care for Seth Jones, we have Oulette and Sproul. Franzen and Cleary need to depart asap and Quincey should be traded to the Islanders for a 7th round pick...geez, that's like a 6th round pick! Then Holland needs to convince Getzlaf, Perry or Iginla to come here in the offseason, and it's ok to talk about this already cause in 3 more games the "actual" season would be half done anyways. If the Wings looked like this next season, I'd be quite happy: Brunner-Datsyuk-Zetterberg (McKinnon/Drouin)-Filppula-(Getzlaf/Perry/Iginla) Nyquist-Helm-Jarnkrok Abdelkader-Sheahan-Tootoo Eaves/Miller Kronwall-Smith Oulette-Sproul White-Ericsson Coliacovo Howard MRAZEK The Wings would definitely be worse now and better after...

With the rate that Wings are dropping off this year, it's only a matter of time before the 3rd line is Nyquist-Sheahan-Tatar. And I for one would be more than ok with that.

Back in the saddle again is Aerosmith, if AC/DC, you're looking for back in black. I'd actually kind of like it if the Wings finished bottom 5 and got either McKinnon or Drouin. I'm not really sold from watching Seth Jones that he's more valuable than either of those guys and we have Oulette and Sproul that I think are better than Jones. If we got one of thos 2 kids in top 5 and then got (IF they don't re-sign with their teams) Getzlaf, Perry or Iginla then the Wings are back as a top tier team. They're only a couple pick ups away now and then some of the kids need to come up sooner rather than later like Sproul, Oulette, Tatar, Nyquist and even keep Lashoff as a 3rd liner. Lastyl, Cleary needs to go. I can't stress enough how much he needs to go.

And EVERY Cleary shot is weak and from the side boards.

No way in hell the Jets give up Stuart and I'm pretty sure after last years play from Bogo, he's off the trading block. He's far too valuable to the team now. He was sort of on the block in Atlanta, but he got ice time and confidence under Claude Noel and has made himself a big part of the Jets blue line.

Mitchell Callahan should be on a line with Tootoo and Abdelkader. Talk about a pain in the ass line!

After laughing with my dad for a while about the Wings 6-0 loss and the fact that we have 1 player under 25, it's time to start the Ken Holland quote thread. "I like our team" "We may miss the playoffs this year" "The power play is our enforcer" I'm gonna go ahead and join my dad in hoping the Wings tank this season cause i'd love to see them get not only McKinnon but find a way to get Ryan Pulock from the Brandon Wheat Kings. This is a fun thread to ease the tension after a pathetic start to the season, and it's fun to see all the tomfoolery people can come up with. And about half way through the season we may see some good Holland quotes. I almost want to start a thread for Babcock's quotes of frustration. I'll wait til we have about 8-10 to laugh at. I have always been a big Holland fan, but this offseason i want to be able to quote him in saying the follwing: "The Wings are too small and can't forcheck their way out of a paper bag. Sorry Sweden, we're drafting 7 players this year from North America and they're all gonna be 6'3 or bigger cause that's how you win the cup since our last win. We're gonna play catch up now." On top of that, we need Perry or Getzlaf here if they test the market. That would be Holland's saving grace. Somewhere a ball was dropped... The Hossa non-signing was an epic failure.

The Blues are WAY better than they were last year. McDonald is healthy, there's the starting point, Terasenko is a legit skilled forward and Jaden Schwarts adds loads of speed. St. Louis is one of the top teams in the West again this year for sure. Look at the way they skated...they won ALL the puck battles and they took the body as well on the forcheck. Any time the Wings even tried to get momentum, the Blues came back and stuffed it back in our faces.

Ya I'm not sure what Kronner's deal was last night, but i've never seen him play that bad. I guess the momentum of the team playing like a bunch of derps rubbed off on even him. At the end of the 2nd Dats was super pissed about something too. The entire team played like a bunch of sack munchers.
