Dale Weise Re-signs with Vancouver

Who's this Dale Weise character? We're so bored with the offseason that we're making up names now? Tyrone Biggums signs with the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow, mark it on the calendar! In all seriousness though, i've never heard of this dude.....any good? -
Currently, the Rangers are looking pretty dangerous and would be a great place to try to get a cup next year. I hate Doan, he's a good player, but i can't stand him. In saying that, if we had that set up in the top 6 then our 3rd line could be Nyquist-Helm-Brunner and that would give me a huge boner. Just sayin'. 3 scoring lines and that would be the fastest line in the history of the NHL.

Holland losing his moxie? Is Detroit slipping as UFA destination?

the offer to Suter was in the 90's, not over 100 mil. -
Who is your favorite player from a team besides the Wings?

The Mike Richards one was awesome. MTV Cribs had a great episode with Scotty Hartnell a few years back too. -
Weber's your hometown hero...you'd probably take nothing less than Crosby or Stamkos for him. Fact of the matter is your team is going to be better with a really good player return at both positions and 4 draft picks. Even if only 25% of the picks turn out, not sure how good the Preds scouting is, you still get a good haul. And much like our Filppula, if you give Read ice time, he can top 60 pts for sure. How many of those do you have in Nashville? Losing Radulov (dickhead) and Suter in the same offseason and also Tootoo, your teams depth took a hit and getting a big package deal and having a dozen picks next year could build a playoff team a lot faster than paying a guy 26 mil next year that clearly wanted to play for the Flyers.

Wow.... Here Poile, have one of the fastest skating young players in the league and oh, he can score too playing 3rd line mins. Also, we'll give you a really solid dman that occasionally leads the league in blocked shots and can also put up decent points. You can have 4 picks too within the first 3 rounds which will also help you build depth.... I don't know what you guys think, but if that's me getting that offer, i'm taking it and rebuilding my team cause Weber doesn't want to be there now that Suter's gone and the return isn't bad. Read is gonna be a 25-30 goal scorer very soon and has potential to get more.

for an average cap hit of .3 mil per year more, i'd take the superior dman Weber over Suter any day of the week.

That's a tough one. So many to pick from. I love that the Kings won the cup and have been a huge Dustin Brown fan since he joined the league and have also liked Kopitar. Stamkos is badass. Patrice Bergeron is a player that I have always coveted coming to the Wings. Toews is another name that pops up... Some vets that i've liked for a very long time, Selanne, Iginla. I'd love for Brent Seabrook and Alex Pietrangelo to be Wings. And my favorite goalie for quite a while is Lundqvist. It may be easier to ask favorite by position, but it's still hard to do. Lucic is also awesome. Since the Jets came back here too I've become a very big Wheeler fan. There, I guess you get a top 6, top 2 and a goalie. -
agreed. i don't even want him for 1 year. he's rumoured to be flying to Montreal to meet with the team. i hope he signs there cause much like him, the Habs i don't like.
-
it really depends what they have to give up to get ryan. yandle seems lie a more likely target after losing out on weber.
-
they need another dman... and a goalie for that matter. not getting Weber put them from ECF against the Rangers to 2nd round exit again.
-
Preds finish 9th in West next year and Weber asks for a trade followed by his preferred list.
-
exactly, and with the money situation in Nashville, i have a hard time believing that they can afford to fork out 26mil next year to pay him. not the kind of guy you want to let go, and personally i think Weber's too intense to slack off for a year, but if he wants out next summer, then the Preds pay him all that money for 1 year and then lose him anyways. they better hope that they get a good haul in return for him if he requests a trade and don't publicly post his choices of destinations.

So hopefully Holland and the boys draft 7 Dmen this coming draft to help with McKee from this draft. Aside from potentially Smith, Sproul, Lashoff, McKee, Backman, maybe Almqvist, i'm not sure of how many dmen we have that will pan out. Yes, our forwards look good though.

You also must have read my posts from last year where i bitched over and over again that if Franzen could hit the net, he could also top at least 40 goals. I don't care if he's trying to pick the corners, fact is he's missing the corners and often by quite a lot. Practice harder and lock the sights Johan! Love the OP. 90% of his shots go high and wide. The ones that hit the net are good, but when you miss the net 9 out of 10 times, you are a derp. Greatness!
-
That's the only way i would be ok with Flip going there in a trade is if he was UFA next summer and could come back. I would really like to see him stay a Wing though. I'd rather see Franzen and Tatar for Ryan, maybe throw in a 2nd.

Bobby Boucher....I don't want you playing that foosball...foosball is the devil!
-
Cause no team in the NHL carries 17 forwards.

I hope they destroy the east next year. have always liked the rangers. let's see what Nash can do with Richards and Gaborik now. That's a strong line.

Erixon is a blue chip D prospect and the Jackets also have Johansson that can play a big role next year. I have a feeling that they will be icing a lot of prospects in the next couple years.

West over to East so Nash won't burn the Jackets all year, 2 capable centremen, Tim Erixon is a great young D that will get lots of mins in Columbus and a 1st round pick no matter how you measure it up is still a 1st round pick. All for 1 guy that doesn't want to play on your team anymore anyways.... I would have wanted Hagelin or Krieder if i was Howson, but clearly that wasn't gonna happen. Rangers can now give those 2 more ice time and they have a pretty nasty looking punch with Nash, Gaborik, Richards and so on. On a side note, i'm also glad the Wings didn't end up shipping Flip, Gus and a 1st, case they are worth more than what the Rangers sent over. Glad this episode is finally over.

ESPN is the least credible, knowledgable source out there for hockey. No worries on this end.
