Emmerton was good in Jr, didn't do jack in the AHL and only made the Wings last season cause he would have been waived for nothing. I'm ok with waiving him for nothing and putting those 2 guys on the roster, or at least 1 of them.

Exactly. And i'm not one of the guys buying into Howson's garbage that Nash is worth selling the farm for...really, 2 roster players, 2 prospects and a 1st rounder....REALLY HOWSON??? Just cause Howson thinks he's worth that much, doesn't make it so. He's not even worth Flip, Gus and a 1st. IF, and that's a big IF Flip is in the package, then it's him + Tatar (max) and a 2nd, not a 1st. People need to stop discounting the guys we have that are good just cause someone's dangling a piece of candy in front of your face and you're salivating cause we lost so much this summer and no matter what Kenny does, you won't think we gained jack cause Lids retired. If that actually was the offer and as far as we've seen there's no reliable source, then Howson is in fact the biggest idiot in the NHL. No wonder the jackets suck every year. While Kenny's at it, why not offer all our picks for their 1st?

I'd rather keep that package than have Nash. just my opinion, but Flip just had a career year and Gus has all the makings of a star. and next years 1st rounder could be a reasonably high pick and could snag a really good player. I will be disappointed if the Wings gave up Flip and Nyquist. Would rather see Franzen, Tatar, Andersson, even Sheahan or Pulkkinen go the other way. I'd even part with Jarnkrok. We'll see i guess....

Nash got 41 like 6 years ago or something... I'd only be good with a trade for Nash or Ryan if Franzen went the other way and we kept Flip. No moving Nyquist or Smith either. there's a long list of prospects that the Wings can trade not named Smith or Nyquist.

gotta figure that the Wings want Lashoff to get top mins in GR and get another NHL/AHL tweener like Janik or Exelby to fill the 7th dman role. develop the young guys and add in a guy that doesn't mind a reduced role.

His production went up when he got on a line with Z and was no longer the 3rd line shut down guy. He excelled in more of a scoring role with 66 points as opposed to being the 3rd line centre and not getting as many quality opportunities to score and he's also on the PP.

I've been pretty cheesed at Holland a few times in the past few years, but i'm trying to look at the positives this offseason. - We finally get to see more than 1 prospect, and not just on the 4th line playing 3 mins per game - Brunner was the league leader in points in the Swiss League...lame league or not, he led it. - Hudler is gone. - Tootoo hits, fights, has grit. - Smith and Nyquist are both really good. - Sammy gets less points than Hudler (barely) and has a significantly better 2-way game. and EVERY PLAYER HOLLAND DRAFTED THIS YEAR IS 6 FEET OR TALLER! WOO! ...for a change. I'm actually looking forward to this season and i hope Smith, Nyquist and Brunner tear it up and all top 50 pts. Then there's a real UFA crop next offseason, not just the Thunder Buddies and Semin.

Never really been a fan of the Ducks (aside from the movies of course) but Selanne's always been one of my favourite players. He's alot like Datsyuk, he plays the game right and everyone in the league just flat out respects the guy.

And Larionov. There's just something about certain guys like Semin and Kovalev that spells lazy. You can say the same about Penner before the Kings cup run this year. Franzen is lazy. There's lazy players from everywhere...

This truly sucks! All of Winnipeg was hoping he'd come back here for 1 year and finish his career where he started it. we'll just have to take pride in the fact that his 76 goal, 132 point season, he was a Jet.

I'm actually really gonna miss seeing Janik for his call ups. Dude's a solid dman and i can't believe none of us ever thought of him as our 7th to round out or D next season, unless of course he just didn't want to be a 7th/filler and wanted a role where he'd be playing more...which would make sense.

Air Force. I was in Trapani, Italy (Sicily) across from Libya. It was cool watching F-18's take off all day until they got Gadaffi (spelling?). I left there to go to Germany after that for mission closure audit stuff. Germany is super clean and i loved it there. Italy was interesting...lots of stray dogs in Sicily.
