i hope Dats plays every playoff game like he played game 82 dangling around everyone on the ice. the s*** he did in that game gave me a hard on. i would love nothing more than for Dats to steal the show and get 40 pts and snag the conn smythe. my boy Z already has one. that would solidify Dats as "The s***" literally if he could do that. dude's got skills.

this is all bang on. couldn't have said it better myself. howard has been the most inconsistent goalie in the league this year. lids +/- directly reflects howards inconsistency and drops with the softies he lets in. chara and weber/suter don't have this problem. therefore, lids wins the norris and lady byng. norris for great play, and the lady byng for not publically hanging howard and whacking him like a pinata.

i just watched that video about 30 times in a row...lol. that sucks that Z isn't ready to go. i still haven't even seen the hit that hurt him. i guess Dats is gonna have to have a conn smythe performance to keep the winged wheel rollin.

there's nothing i can see anywhere even talking about it, and chicago should have had a double-minor for high sticking right before that, so it's an even trade if you ask me. Seabrook is top 5 for favorite dmen in the league for me, and i like the hawks when they don't get a free ride from the refs against the wings, so i'm not biased....but it looked like seabrook did a little acting on the fall down after the hit. just saying...

exact same hit Steve Moore threw on Markus Naslund. the only thing out of the ordinary for Torres is that he didn't leave his feet to make this hit. Eberle didn't have possession of the puck. He was reaching for the puck and got destroyed. 4 games sounds fine.

I would start a team with Toews for sure. that being said, here's the guys i'd take before Toews: Z and Dats (no brainer), Crosby and Stamkos. This is where i'd enter Toews. Great 2 way player that can "hold on to the puck" like Z. has a cup as hawks captain. every team that wins the cup has a great supporting cast. there was alot more to the 80's oilers than just Gretzky. After Toews the list opens up with lots of guys....OV, Nash, Getzlaf, Shea Weber, Sedin twins, Eric Staal...the list goes on, but at the end of the day, i'd take Toews atleast in the top 10 in the NHL. and basing this years performance isn't entirely fair to Toews as the hawks roster was completely raped. you don't lose versteeg, byufglien, ladd, madden, niemi, etc...without it affecting the chemistry and the team record. it takes time to figure things out and since the all-star break, the hawks have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL. and Toews has been great. 32 goals, 44 assists for 76 pts, +23 and only 26 PIM (10th in NHL scoring) that sounds like the kind of player I want to start my team with. and he keeps getting better every year. he has a very mature game that forgive me for saying, reminds me of 2-way forward Steve Yzerman.

i'd like to see I. Filppula, Tatar, Mursak, Tardif, Smith and Meech

it's a little unfair for you to generalize like that. and in the intro, lemieux, a canadian playing for an american team, has the signature through the feet goal against the stars. in defence of CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation...by the way) they are required to have Canadian content, unfortunately that includes our bad music. also, i'm Canadian and my favorite teams are Detroit, Chicago and Boston. i don't even really like any of the Canadian teams. Canadian players are a different story, but even still, my favorite players are Swedish and Russian...

i voted Z. not cause he's my favorite player, as Dats is up there a hair beneath him for favorite, but because Z's been the backbone of this team. he hasn't missed a game all year, and he's been responsible to carry the load with massive amounts of injuries to the others. Dats missed 25, cleary missed a bunch, stuart missed weeks....the list continues. and Z is 1 over a point a game in a very trying season. lids has also been great, but Z has been driving hard all year doing everything from PP to PK. i really hope he gets his 2nd wind come playoff time cause he's been going so hard this year. he'd look great with another conn smythe to accompany his playoff beard. though i'd really like to see Dats or Helm win the conn smythe. yes...Helm!

that's exactly why the rule was brought in. and the game is alot more intense when there's less intentional stoppages.
