I kept hitting the + button but it still only gave you +1 i agree with this completely. not sure if there'll be any spots, but i'd like to see smith compete for a roster spot on the wings next season. i'd love to see a mean ass line of him and stuart.

first off...lol at the Rams/Lions change to the topic. i agree with this too. it's not like the Wings got pumped by the Pens or Ducks...who hates St. Louis?? they're just kind of there...atleast since Pronger left, i've been ok with them. hopefully this loss does act as a wake up call. the wings have the most goals against now of ANY team currently in the playoffs. right now, they're slotted in to play Nashville. if SJ takes over the 2 spot, they will be up against the ducks. with the wings D playing like s***, Perry, Getzlaf and Selanne will have a field day with them. hopefully giving up 10 in a game will light the much needed spark under the Wings ass. I'll still believe the Wings can go all the way up until the buzzer rings on their season and they've lost 4 to 1 team. and i hope dats sits until playoffs start and Z sits the last 2 games. who gives a f*** what place they finish, go in fresh. they've been better on the road anyways.

i agree, but the post i had was directed as though the pairings got even ice time...20 mins per game a piece. otherwise i'd put kronwall and stuart together and put rafalski and his 6m salary on the 3rd pairing. stuart is my favorite dman behind lids. the wings don't always use "line numbers" ex: dats line / Z line...

i'd take kindl for the playoffs for sure. he's more skilled, bigger and tougher. on top of that, he has the stamina for a long playoff run. salei is slow and makes more mistakes in the last long time than the rookie. i'd play: lids/ericsson kronwall/rafalski kindl/stuart rotate kindl and ericsson if things need a tweak, and keep a solid kronner/rafs line together as the go-to pairing.

or Yzerman...dude finished 6th all time in points and was the best 2 way forward in the game for the last 10-12 years of his career hence the 3 cup rings and a conn smythe on 1 leg. his hilight reel for goals in his career and goals he set up is ridiculous. and they have karv-a-leg-off at #4. what the f***? top 10 all time....no way kovalev is anywhere close! other than that, the list is pretty good, but the kovalev s*** made me sour. and i'd put crosby ahead of kovalev already anyways. i hate the penguins in a cynical way, but crosby is highly skilled.

the wings are lacking in healthy players the thing that feels most off this year is the sloppy ass play in the defensive zone. the wings have been getting goal production from all 4 lines, which has them top 5 in goals for, but the goals aginst has been terrible this year. from howard being inconsistant as all hell to the wings defense on occasion just looking disinterested in playing hockey. the amount of 60 minute games the wings have played this year can be counted on 1 hand. if the wings get healthy before playoffs, they'll be hard to beat. unfortunately, franzen had the torch passed from kovalev as laziest skilled player in the NHL. lets hope that changes soon, cause the wings need EVERYONE doing their job and being productive and they'll be the same contenders they always are. i believe 100% that if this wings team plays to their potential, they can win the cup with Joey in net if howard isn't ready to go.

i like the hawks, but that's a bulls*** win. hawks got WAY more calls for them. wings get screwed as usual, but that's usually how they lose.
