i was staring into a bag of sunflower seeds while that PP was going on....i figure every time i watch the PP it sucks balls, so i'll settle for replays. here comes another PP. pens are assholes. way to drive helm's head to the ice.

pretty sure not too long ago he had a 37 save shutout. alot better than howards 4 goals against on 15 shots .733 save %. 1/2 the top 6 is gone, but i thought the wings had SO much depth....looking pretty thin this evening.

4-0 strong effort by howard and the wings. we aren't winning a cup with him in net. sure hope mccollum turns into a good goalie. i can't believe i'm saying this, but here's hoping Ozzy comes back and starts in the playoffs.

wings are ******* pathetic this game and the PP is atrocious....done watching. TSN will show me on the scores updates when the wings feel like playing some hockey. and pull howards s***ty ass already. good thing holland signed him already...don't wait until the offseason and make him earn a contract. f*** i'm pissed!

i hope the preds squeeze into 8th and beat the s*** out of vancouver and lose in 7 leaving the nucks with 1 or 2 days rest and a tough 2nd round opponent that is ready to dismantle what's left of them. i hope weber drills kesler repeatedly and tags luongo with a 110 mph clapper. like i said, i'll take anyone but nashville. they're ******* annoying with their trap s*** and i HATE their style of play. 21 Mar - Penguins - TSN2 - 7:30 eastern 23 Mar - Canucks - TSN - 7:30 eastern 26 Mar - Leafs - CBC - 7:00 eastern 28 Mar - Hawks - TSN2 - 7:30 eastern that should get you started on the Kindl watch. 4 games in a row on tv make me very happy! and yes, kindl looks like he wants to steal someones roster spot. he's definitely not in need of a sit down in the press box. and 4 wins in 5 games now, when Salei comes back he should come in slow as a 7th dman and take ice time from whatever dman sucks that night. kindl is developing quite well now and i'd hate to see that hindered.

There's topics all over the place calling out each player individually and soft goals against, but the biggest problem noticed and talked about during game threads is the shots from the outside and lack of creativity. the worst yet being the game against Edmonton on 11 March. Is anyone else here sick of seeing ALL of the Wings shots from the outside? We can talk about Franzens 1 goal in the last 17 games, Flips 2 points in 13, Z not getting s*** in 6, howard letting in atleast 1 softie per game and bert being streaky, but the fact is, you can outshoot teams 35-20 and lose when your shots are easy outside shots or predictable one timers from the blue line that get blocked 8 out of 10 times and your opponent gets their 20 shots from being patient and getting shots from the middle of the ice. The last 4 Wings I've watched have had the same trend. toss crappy low percentage shots bread basket with little or no screen followed by no rebound. the best games the wings play are when they get creative. when they don't skate in a straight line and "hope for the best" . curl in for a pass behind the defence. from being in game day threads i know LOTS of you guys have had the same frustrations watching games.

i hope he jumps in and plays with tatar and they average over a point a game each together.

i see your point on that, but with a goalie dubnyks size, if they just throw pucks from the outside they'll get lost in his massive equipment. they need to get the big goalies moving laterally. get lots of cross ice one-timers and make him move side to side. i find watching them lately they wait for the goalie to square up and their shots either go bread basket or they miss the net by 2-3 feet. i agree with whoever said the wings need more sandpaper. i really hope callahan tries out for the team and is given a good look next year. in a perfect world, holland would be able to trade franzen for lucic and kronwall would hit the net. as much as i like the way miller plays most of the time, he doesn't have the intensity. not even abdelkader does anymore. unfortunately we can't clone helm... i'm not against the wings taking tons of shots, but when they do the same thing everytime they enter the zone, it gets predictable and easy to defend against.

helm is the s*** and i think he should be 2nd line the way he's playing...depending on if first line is dats or Z... hudler - dats - cleary (that line is badass together) helm - Z - flip (helm could get Z and flip going and this line could put up points) homer - franzen - bert (franzen used to be centre. he's been useless for 17 games, make him skate)

on top of that... #1 - on the steckel "blindside", why wasn't crosby watching where he was going instead of admiring snowflakes? steckel didn't try to run him over. it looked like he tried to move and clipped a daydreaming crosby. p.s. the game is fast Carman. #2 - hedman didn't clock crosby from behind, he rubbed him out into the boards and crosby ate some glass. it wasn't dirty, he just got rubbed out and didn't brace himself. on topic...the NFL will NOT lockout an entire season. the US will go ******* crazy without football and there will be riots every sunday and monday until football is back. this will not go on long.

i actually feel bad for dubnyk. our wings don't deserve s*** tonight for the game they played. no offensive creativity lately whatsoever.

why doesn't kronwall EVER hit the net? he could easily get 25 goals if he hit the net even 5% of the time.

what a stupid penalty by homer. don't get upset when you swing from above your head and break a guys stick. this game is a disappointment. after 4 straight bad games i figured the wings would turn it around against a mediocre oilers team without hemsky, hall, whitney and gagner. it should be a 7-0 easy win. WTF?

he's my boy...but he hasn't done s*** in 5-6 games. he looks tired.

i wish rafalski was out there tonight. atleast he makes smart passes. lol at the franzen one. helm kicks ass. he's the BEST wing lately. that doesn't say much but...... wow..franzen has emotions. SCORE A ******* GOAL AND QUIT SHOOTING FROM THE OUTSIDE ASSHOLES!

maybe....i didn't see franzen on that PP. probably cause he's been the most generous red wing so far. he gave the puck away about 4 times in 1 shift earlier.

why is abdelkader on the PP? they trying to get him up to 20 points for the season? 14 pts for a guy generally doesn't merit PP time. put helm on the PP or atleast give him more ice time. atleast he has been getting points this year with his miniscule ice time.

he reminds me alot of steve downie minus the early career problems. gritty little guy that has no fear. hopefully he goes to GR next year and has a strong season.

i couldn't be happier than having a DET vs. BOS final. that's the final i was hoping for when the Pens beat the wings. that was horrible to watch. atleast i could live with the wings losing to the B's. i just hope if the wings play the sharts or canucks that they come out on top. the wings success will be determined by our goaltending and depth. howard has been up and down this year. abby has been useless. hudler, helm and cleary have been awesome lately. and franzen needs to play hard every game. dats, Z, Lids need to just do what they do. rafalski, stuart, kronner and ericsson stay solid and chip in with some points and the wings back end will be lethal. any of this falters, playoff hockey exposes mistakes made by these guys.
