kovalev is the laziest skilled player in the history of the NHL. any of the sens that would actually help the wings are overpaid. and on a side note...the sens have been dismantling since their lackluster performance that handed the ducks the cup in '06.

develop from within. smith, almqvist, lashoff... see how they pan out first. we may have our own doughty/weber... if a player becomes available without a big hit of draft pick compensation or sending one of the better wings players/prospects packing, go for it. too many teams throw all their stock in a couple players and have a mediocre supporting cast. i would like doughty, but his price tag will be quite high. and draft pick compensation will be higher than kessel.

I like Hall, but that story make him seem a little douchey. on the other hand...Ryan Ellis. i hate that little piece of s***. his multiple giveaways cost Canada the gold 2 years ago, and just making him captain this past tourney ultimately tied the word fate to the 3rd period collapse. ellis whines to the refs even after Canada scores. i was completely disgusted with the collapse and captain Ellis didn't do a damn thing to get the team going other than whine and pee his pants. Schenn should have been captain. Ellis will be in the ECHL in 3-4 years after failing to be useful at the NHL level, followed by AHL. He will NEVER reach more than about 14 points over 3 years in the NHL...injury call-ups. i went to school with Dustin Boyd and he was a pretty good kid. he was 2 years younger, but i used to shoot the s*** with him when i'd see him and ask how he was doing with Moose Jaw. not all hockey players are egos and dickheads. alot of them seem pretty cool. i really hope there's some CHL playoffs on tv...i wanna watch Landeskog and the Rangers. As i said before, if there was any way to get him on the Wings i'd lose my mind with happiness.

and ditch the completely flawed voting system. yeah, we need 4 penguins at the ASG...including a very undeserving fleury. Z has a cup, conn smythe and a beastly beard...he needs not all-star game recognition.

I've always liked the teams that Kitchener Rangers have. Mike Richards was pretty badass in his JR days. if the Wings could somehow get their hands on Gabriel Landeskog, i'd s*** bricks of happiness! i caught a couple barrie colts games a few years back while in good old base Borden doing training, so I have a soft spot for that team as a get-away from the base... i'm from Winnipeg, so i'm more into the WHL due to location, so naturally i'm a Brandon Wheat Kings fan. for all you guys that are in Ontario in places with teams, you are SO effing lucky. the CHL is some of the best hockey i've ever seen. been to about 25ish Wheat Kings games over the years and they're a blast. someone gets a hat-trick and the drunk guys start the "thanks for pancakes" chant. CHL is good times!

lol at robert the floater lang. i'd definately take fleischmann back cause i was really choked when he got shipped out with the 1st rounder. i don't give 2 s***s about mike green. in fact, i hate him and his horrible defensive play. but the wings could have kept tomas and drafted a good prospect in the 1st round. the difference between leino in DET and PHI is top 6 minutes and pairings. playing 4th line for the wings grinding and shut down...he's a ******* playmaker! paired with briere was golden for him. if he was paired with franzen or zetterberg he'd still be a wing and hudler would be sucking ass on the flyers.

...which is why Brad Stuart is so valuable. Lids/Stuart is huge and the Wings goals against has gone up what...a GAG since Kockstopolous broke his face with a dirty hit? Stuart is top 10 in the league for Defensive Defenseman. Globe and mail should stick to stocks and bonds and all that s*** and leave hockey to people who actually know hockey. can't remember, was Shea Weber even on that list? or chara? cause they're pretty top notch defensive dmen.

imagine how fun it's gonna be to watch GR next year with Nyquist, Callahan, Jarnkrok, Pulkkinen, I. Filppula, J. Andersson, Tatar and hopefully Almqvist will cross the pond and play in GR. I havn't seen any GR games this year, but i'm excited to see Smith play and I'm also interested in seeing Lashoff cause i've heard he's pretty good. Not sure if i missed anyone that could make GR next year, but i don't really count Landon Ferraro anymore as he seems like a bust with an attitude and Nestrasil sucked at the WJC and will never sniff even GR let alone the Wings. Other than those 2, things are looking pretty good for the Wings.

you want a bad case of homerism...go to tsn.ca and look at all the canucks fans express their overboard man love on "your call" for kesler saying he might be the best player in the NHL. good read if you need a laugh. polls are only good if you do a poll where your favorite players/team aren't involved in it, cause homerism will always come in to play. for example, the best Dman in the NHL is Lidstrom, best 2 way fwd is Dats or Z. Best goalie in the NHL...i'd take Henrik Lundqvist right now. so 2 out of 3 are wings...homer or not, i may not be wrong unless you ask a pens or canucks fan.

the only defensive hockey crosby plays is he learned how to win faceoffs in the offseason. whoever said he's the best 2-way player in the game is a ******* un-educated piece of penguin blowing retard. can i say retard here?

And the Pens drop their first game without him. Gee...i thought that Malkin would pick up some slack and maybe come back past center ice. guess i was wrong, and i'm glad i was. injure crosby = 1st round playoff exit. cool!

at one point in the game, Canada was outshooting USA 28-12. Campbell was giving he US a chance to win, but their offense didn't bring enough to the table. to say a couple of big saves could have helped the US win 2-1 is ludicrous. Canada dominated every part of that game beginning to end. USA didn't come out with the fire and determination that Canada did, and as a result, Canada mopped the floor with them. P.S. Go Sweden!...again.

Go Sweden! hopefully Jarnkrok has a huge game. Callahan barely gets any icetime and started the tourney as an extra forward, so i don't care much for the US team and i really don't like that #23 whiny clown ducks prospect. #29 on sweden is pretty good too, can't remember his name.

pulkkinen and jarnkrok have looked really good. i havn't watched any USA games involving callahan, but hopefully he'll be playing tomorrow when the game's on. nestrasil and his figure 4 leg lock moves are lame. everytime he gets the puck, he just wants to see how quick he can get rid of it. really disappointed that almqvist and sheahan aren't in the tourney. canada is pretty good, but that kassian suspension is ******* bushleague. i like pulkkinen's baggy pants.

i'd just like to see him replace hudler. hudler is s***.

the worst part of datsyuk being injured is that hudler won't be a healthy scratch until dats is back. i say send hudler to GR thru waivers and give tatar a shot.
