i was also thinking the exact same thing. how did that go unnoticed by the refs??
-
on a side note...babcock should have put helm or abby out there in the dying minutes to go get the puck for Z, dats and franzen to put it in the net. not the likes of cleary and draper who brought nothing to the table. if not those 2, they should have had Z, dats, flip/homer, franzen, lids and rafalski on to try and tie it up. i think the player selection and lost faceoffs cost the wings a better chance to tie it up. Z's my favorite player, but i would have had dats take the faceoff and Z or franzen take the shot. and possibly homer there to bang a quick rebound in...not cleary.

as long as the wings screen nabokov instead of howard in game 2, i think they should take one in "Howie's Place"

It's Official: Happy Hudler is Back
Z Winged Dangler replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
probably not. at 2.875/year, 57 points sounds pretty good. i'd trade cleary before hudler at this point...if anyone would take his contract. -
i'd rather see eaves on the wing in place of cleary. have him on left wing to get Z someone to pass to for quick one-timers on that side as Z likes to play on the right boards alot more than the left.

it's also a good thing that kenny knows now so he can plan his offseason moves accordingly. adios williams. keep eaves and miller as they have proved their worth, game in and game out. it's all up to lids' contract now, whether he takes a discount or not. i wonder now what's gonna happen with ritola. would like to see him in a wings jersey next year. maltby should be retiring and draper has 1 year left if i'm not mistaken?? either way, welcome back happy! we'll take your 57 points next year. -
only ovie and backstrom were getting points. semin and fehr didn't do much either...or laich.

WCSF Game 1 GDT: Red Wings 3 at Sharks 4

5-0 wings! -
i already liked brooks laich as a player...now i truly respect him as a person. it's good to see a millionaire that not only stops, but does the dirty work for people who buy tickets to caps games.

i only miss fleischmann
-
ahh, that's the name...i'm pretty sure brad watson was the incompetent s***.
-
the only reason the pens beat the lackluster sens is because of crosby's 14 points in 6 games. fleury was a sieve. if crosby gets injured, the pens are so f***ed!

Lester B. Pearson Award renamed - Lindsay!

i'm not the 1st person to mention it, and you're not the first person to agree with it. i don't understand how it hasn't been implemented yet. -
ask tsn and ray ferraro about the turning point. SJ airport is definately maguires monster of the series. and todd mcclellan is a special coach...special! craig mctavish has no valid point of his own to make. darren dreger replies with LOUD NOISES.

yzerman is my favorite player ever...but gotta give props to joe sakic too. that guy played the game like it should be played. toews is on the right path too. other than that, not many measure up.
-
exactly. i don't like the habs, but i'm going with the lesser of 2 evils. i hope the pens get knocked out of the playoffs while wearing the baby blue jerseys...just to make it that much better when crysby starts pouting and bursting into tears. i hope he goes pointless!
-
that shouldn't be too bad should it? which are the 2 refs with the dumb and dumber title?
-
which brings up a prior point that i made that green has NO defensive hockey sense. it's like everything he does has to make some sort of statement. can't rub the guy off the puck and direct the puck to a safe zone...nope, gotta try and put him through the boards. can't play the puck off the glass...gotta throw a blind pass up the middle and have it end up in your own net. can't just trip a guy...gotta try and injure him with a bulls*** slewfoot. <--spelling?
-
good point, therefore my round 2 upset is the habs in 7. booyah! enter marc savard, exit gagne and carter...you do the math.
-
priceless! if heatley is badly injured, i'll change my prediction to wings in 4. if the defence has 1 less sniper to tend to, they'll have that much more time for offence. and thornton is a terrible playoff underachiever. his game is suited for a slow, regular season powerplay. intensity is not in his vocabulary. i like boyle, but nice f***in shot buddy and nabby...
-
well here's a rebuttal that everyone can agree with: the caps defence is garbage in general. they are a team with good forwards, mediocre defence and goaltending.

wings in 6 habs in 7 bruins in 6 hawks in 7

Just thought of this on my way out the door this morning, cause the last thing i'm thinking about until i get here is work... If Detroit, Chicago, Montreal and Boston all win then the Conference Finals on each side will be: Detroit vs. Chicago and Montreal vs. Boston Both are great rivalries and would be pretty exciting. On a side note, i would NEVER cheer for Montreal, but in this case I will make an exception. For one round, I am a habs fan.

i hope not. i want the pens gone...bad! the canucks are running their mouths alot right now and i don't think they can back it up against the hawks. they lost last year with willie mitchell in the line up and he's out with a concussion. good luck nuckers. wings in 6 hawks in 7 habs in 7 bruins in 6
