that's exactly why i was pissed when i heard his name. lids could have been nominated above him, as well as boyle, myers, erhoff, chara, even yandle. they all do it better "all-around" than mike green's liable ass.

i'll admit i was a little pessimistic after game 6, but the wings are like a light switch. they can turn it on and take it to a new level whenever someone doubts them. it doesn't matter what happens in game 1-6 if there's a game 7...all bets all bets are off. you're not done until you get that 4th loss.

mike green is the most overrated player in the NHL. his stats and +/- are high due to the fact that he racks up points 32 games per year playing against tampa, florida, carolina and atlanta. he has no sense of defense whatsoever and should be on the wing. the only reason he got nominated for the norris is because it's not about all-around ability in the position, it's about the d-man who racks up the most points. i guess he can thank the teams in his division if he actually wins the norris. it's also his fault now that i have to cheer for the habs against the pens. atleast one of the 2 teams will be gone come ECF.

mule - Z - homer flip - dats - abby bert - helm - eaves cleary - miller - meech lids - lilja kronner - stuart rafalski - ericsson roll the lines. draper has been useless. keep rafalski ready for the PP. play him less cause he looks tired and doesn't like the yotes forcheck. Z, abby, helm and cleary gety the puck in the offensive zone and get s*** started. meech has played good when in the lineup this year and has more energy than draper at this point, and chips in the odd time too. well spent dollar, but draper's time is done. lilja has been decent, put him on with lids and it'll make him that much better. that 3rd line may surprize some people if they played together...4th line, energy and off. i agree with whoever said to put mule, Z and homer back together. it worked. and franzen will hopefully hit the net this game. big game from howard tonight.

yup...it's unfortunate that penalty calling is like the salary cap, there's a ceiling. the best team and the team that plays within the rules the best doesn't always benefit because the NHL has what's called "the even up call". it doesn't go unnoticed by the announcers either. there's numerous blatant penalties that get called on one team, followed by a softie against the other team. i guess that's what makes cashing in on the early opportunities so important...something which the wings failed miserably at doing last game. regardless, your guys points are very valid and the NHL will not change for the better in anyu way until bettman is a thing of the past. the rule book is suited for bettman to control.

i would love to see Boston and Detroit play for the cup. atleast if detroit was to lose that series it wouldn't sting like losing to the pens. just wait until next year with hopefully a healthy savard and the addition of most likely seguin.
