it would be nice to beat the pens in the SCF this year, but their 2nd round exit against the caps is gonna kill any chance of that.

anyone ever injure their groin playing hockey? i have, and it completely destroys the "extra step" it would seem cleary's groin has healed and he got that extra step back. good to see him flying again just in time for the post season.

that's what i was thinking. atleast draper brings speed and grit to the table...something which williams completely lacks. williams out - abby in. draper's an older horse, but he still wins races to the puck. williams, not so much.

17 games played 3 g, 2a for 5 pts +5 rating 16 shots, 18.75% Not too bad for a 4th liner brought in to just fill a roster spot. 14 games with Tampa Bay he was -3 with 0 pts. Maybe not to the same extent, but he reminds me alot of Dan Cleary when he got here. He plays and skates hard every shift and chips in with the odd point. Just something positive to look at from this year so far. Mr. Miller may have found a home in Detroit like so many players that just need a coach to give them a role.

when you have a pretty good team and win the cup and then your captain retires and the GM has a firesale of role players and secondary scoring and then the owners are having their own squabble on the side...it really f***s things up on a hockey team. richards also went to dallas and left only st. louis and lecavalier seeing as boyle went to the sharks too. now their #1 d-man is meszaros, who just got hammered in the jugular with a slapshot last night...hope he's ok. it's only a matter of time until stamkos is RFA and gets his payday and the lightning have issues with top 3 star players cap with vinny's huge salary always on the table, and one of the big 3 take the train. vinny needs a fresh start in a new city. maybe he should have went to montreal when he had the chance...but then again if he didn't produce there, the home fans would boo him.

i'd rather see ritola get a chance to play with zetterberg and filppula. that line would be a ******* dangle-fest! watched ritola against the moose and he's got a lot of potential but needs to try playing with players a little more his style ala Z, dats, fil etc. i'm thinking something a little bit like this: (and i know some guys will shred me for this) homer - dats - franzen ritola - Z - flip abby - helm - eaves cleary - draper - miller either way, eaves and miller better be wings next year...but i don't think we'll have to worry about that. kenny knows when he's got a good thing going.

unfortunately i agree with you. and on top of all the great players ovie plays with, he plays in the weakest division in the league. 32 games/year against atlanta, carolina, florida and tampa. rated 10, 12-14 in the east...weak.

i noticed this on the weekend when i was watching the wings/flyers game. willy has absolutely no grit. no sense of urgency. he should take a seat in the press box in the playoffs and insert abdelkader. eaves has just as good of a shot and plays hard. put him on the PP unit where williams goes, where he has done nothing when there, and we'll see eaves put up some numbers.

i'd like to see the flyers miss the playoffs because they're assholes. lappy's hit on helm pretty much sums up the flyers style of play on a nightly basis. even richards, one of my favorite players takes runs at guys and plays too wrecklessly. and whoever plays the pens right now has a good shot anyways, cause the pens can't beat any of the good teams not named the sabres. they aren't the team that won the cup last year. west is taking the cup this year.

but toews hoisted the cup in the opening credits of NHL 10...he has to win it now, cause EA Sports thinks the Hawks won it already. but i guess to go with what you were saying, the video is in colour, so it can't be true. was there tv's last time the hawks won the cup?

that looks good, but homer wants to keep playing. and the way he's played this year, no one is gonna deny him coming back for another year, at which point he would probably consider retirement. bertuzzi has been ok, kinda hot and cold. he wants to finish his career in detroit, but there;s alot of good guys in the organization that are gonna get their shot sooner than later...ritola, abdelkader, maybe jeremy williams...bertuzzi may be the odd man out.
