exactly. this is as far as i need to read just to make sure i'm not the only person that thinks the kid that got hit could have taken the hit like a man instead of getting wallpapered due to turning his back on the forcheck. there's an unfortunate lesson he'll never forget. hope he gets better, but the suspension for the season is a bushleague call by the commissioner. liambis should be in the WHL where you can hit the guys on the other team.
-
good, i'm not the only one. isn't cindy day-to-day with tear like symptoms as well? something about crying alot on the bench cause the opposition only spent half the game in the box.

agree 100% -
wonder if the thrashers will even win a game without kovy?? maybe if they play the leafs it'll be an epic basement battle!
-
he should go play with hudler in the khl
-
no ******* way would i trade 2 guys that are gonna be potentially really good VALUABLE players for the wings for a 1 way hockey player with a bad attitude. and he only had 2 more points than hudler last year....ask drake! and atleast huds TRIED to play some defense.
-
Hudler's ripping it up over there!

khl is bush league compared to the nhl, and zetterberg has a point a game too. -

How do we define how many games is enough? remember pronger's hit from behind on homer? way more vicious and pronger's an extreme repeat offender. he got one game, ruutu get's 3 games. i'm ok with the 3 game suspension. it didn't look like there was intent to injure, ruutu was just a little careless. -
WTF! the hitting starts when the season does. or the NHL could institue a rule where prior to the all-star break to ensure max participation from the best players in the game.....the supestars on each team will have a flag attached to their pants like in flag football where if you take their flag away they give you the puck, or not! you obviously need to stop watching soccer all summer. hockey is a contact sport 82 games a season and playoffs. no one here minds when guys get kronwalled even in pre-season. keep ya head up son! and stay off the train tracks.

Red Wings Rumors - Oct. 21 via Spector's Hockey

frolov and his apparent bad attitude would just take up space in babcock's doghouse. -
one post up...glad to see i'm not the only one that thinks this. superstars aren't *******, quit treating them like glass!

yup, and when you get a SUICIDE pass from your linemate. this once again shows a major flaw in todays NHL where you're not allowed to hit a guy and KEEP ******* PLAYING hockey! skate it off and play the game. every time someone gets a good clean check in hockey a meaningless scrum insues. rewind to before most of us, myself included, were born and the guys in the NHL were tough, and could take care of themselves when they got hit with a clean bodycheck. and this is in no way a biased post...toews is one of my favorite players and i dislike willie mitchell. but it was a clean hard hit on like i said above, a suicide pass.
-
that would take longer than your lifetime. with the hatred for the pens that most of us have... good luck with that. i've hated the pens almost as long as i've loved the wings.

NHL teams biased against francophones,
Z Winged Dangler replied to cusimano_brothers's topic in General
this thread is priceless! keep going guys. anyone in Canada could easily tell the difference between anglo and franco Canadians...franco's strut alot and turn their noses up alot, kind of like poodles if i had to make a comparison. -
that really blows! i have savard in my hockey draft.
-
i did! maybe that would make everyone stop panicking 7 games into a season with a team that has a lot of new faces, and some old new faces. and on a bright note, z is at a point a game pace. dats WILL get going once his "upper body" injury is taken care of. the guy had back to back 87 and 97 points in the last 4 years.
-
and zetterberg will finish the season with 11 goals...but 82 pts dats will have an astonishing 32 assists and 0 goals as well. good thing seasons are 82 games, or there would be no parody or excitement. as for sammy, he played his part and scored some clutch goals. not a superstar by any stretch, but he was better than a handful of guys on the current wings roster...
-
gaffe's... fleishmann in a package for lang...oops. fleishmann's gonna be huge for the caps when the bloodclot is out of his leg. matthias for bertuzzi's 20 or so games...hmm. as far as the d goes, i'd rather see the wings waive lebda and meech already and just bring kindl up to round out the 3rd pairing with ericsson. and no more mike peca! that's not even kind of funny.
-
send him to toronto...he'll like playing under that microscope when he has a lazy game
-
pretty much...we all know what the pens gave up for hossa. well, kovy is a better player and would probably demand the following: flip, leino, tatar and 2010 1st round pick. = no dice. like you said, holland isn't stupid, and that's pretty much what the thrashers would want for a superstar like kovalchuk.

Don't know if everyone here watches Coaches Corner or even has CBC for Hockey Night in Canada, but anyone who does knows Cherry is a Leafs fan...unfortunately. But here's a fun little comment he made about their current team, and who their best player is. "Cherry unwittingly added some pressure on the Leafs' first draft pick during his between-periods commentary Saturday night by showing a dazzling goal Kadri scored against the Plymouth Whalers the previous night, prefacing it by saying he was going to show one of Toronto's best players. Then, he went on to say Kadri should be playing for the Leafs right now." This was taken from the article on TSN. I found it funny http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=294751 there's the link if anyone wants to read the whole thing. Things are pretty shaky in "Leaf Nation"

look back at each year lately. the wings get spanked once or twice each season and it serves as a wake up call. last year...columbus 8 detroit 0, ring any bells. it's a good way to let the wings know that they need to work for 60 minutes to get those wins and if they coast they'll get shelled like last night in buffalo.
-
finally someone said ferraro. a speedy darren helm type grinder with a nose for the net. i also like everyone else here think tatar will be really good. i still have hope for kindl. and i'm hoping larsson or mccollum will step up big. maybe even impress the wings brass so much this year that they waive howard and one of them earns a spot. with all the goaltending hype in the pre-season, i really hope one of those guys can turn into a number 1 goalie for the wings. cause ozzy and howard have been complete dogs*** so far. only 5 games in, but s*** they stink. even i preseason!
-
i would also sign the petition to s*** can mccrimmon. and who the f*** is the goaltending coach. cover the bottom of the net! stack the pads or something. 2nd period last night everything was along the ice right to the back of the net. maybe a big save every once in a while would change the momentum. the wings need one big win to get on a roll. something like a 6 or 7-0 win over a good team. kings tomorrow and the avs on saturday...both of those teams are playing really good just like the sabres. in years past those are cakewalk games. same with the coyotes next thursday. some of the wings REALLY need to step up!
