that's hilarious. i personally thing it looks like he glued his grandma's pubes to his face, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not sure what his exact point is...? To me, it seems like he's saying everyone in Detroit lost their jobs...even those people that didn't work at GM. Am I mistaken, or does all of Michigan work for GM and Chrysler? Gongshow is obviously the College that moron graduated from. He's probably a massage "rub and tug" therapist major.

I like all the hawks. they're a likeable bunch

I took this from a story on TSN.ca "The NHL's all-time leading scorer is set to earn $6.5 million for the upcoming season and $8 million for the 2010-11 season. According to the paper, Reinsdorf has no interest in paying a coach more than five-times the league average." Gretzky was a great hockey player as we all know, but what makes his a great coach worthy of that much money. He hasn't made the playoffs yet and the Coyotes have had minimal improvement for such a highly paid coach behind the boards. He's not nominated for the coach of the year, and can't even touch the coaching abilities of half the coaches in the league, like.....Babcock. I think we've found a good chunk of the Coyotes debt. It appears the revenue sharing program that bailed out the 40 mil to the Coyotes is paying Gretzky's salary. Five-times the league average for coach's salary is absurd!

no doubt the hawks are gonna come out firing hard with lots of speed on their home ice. if they pressure the wings and take penalties, maltby and draper have been there before and can calm the team with textbook penalty killing. i say it as much as everyone else that maltby is on his last leg and draper is losing steps often, but in the playoffs, you also gain experience watching from the press box....where to be, and how to do it. babs doesn't want 12 straight games with a pp goal against. him and the wings are too proud and all about positive records. even though that shows just how dominant they are 5 on 5, being 10-3 in the post season with a so-so pk.

the more leino plays in the wings systems, the better he's gonna get at both ends of the ice. someone added on another topic that leino has already been talking contracts with the wings and should be on the team next year. if he ends up playing in the playoffs, which isn't unrealistic with injuries and such, he's a capable player that can handle himself. no worries if he suits up.

The goalie interference Carolina got away with last night: diabolical

it's funny how easily fleury dropped his stick...staal barely touched his stick. fleury dropped it and it ended up in his feet and he kicked it away so he wouldn't trip on it. this post belongs on a penguins site. this is "LETS GO WINGS" not "lets sob for the penguins" the only reason i'm watching that series is to cheer for casualties -
that's some funny s***. perry is an *******. he was fine in junior, but once he threw on a ducks jersey and learned how to play like a duck...dirty and cheap...the respect went right out the window for him.
-
i, like the rest of the wings faithfuls can't bear watching the ducks take the wings place in the conference/cup finals. it would be like watching the divealanche advance after beating the wings in the 90's. it pretty much leaves a sour taste in your mouth until the wings win the cup again. the wings and their fans have more pride than ducks/fans, as well as more class. god forbid the ducks actually win tonight, which i would give almost anything to prevent, i'm sure none of the people leaving JLA will get s*** beat like the wings fan in anaheim that posted his nasty story of a post game run-in with the ever so classy ducks fans...oh, and f*** pronger and the neid-a-pair brothers!
-
al sobotka swings the octopi overhead before the puck drops, wings pound the ducks p.s. the league can't demolish the wings tradition no matter how hard they try. the wings will pay sobotka's fine!

there's definately a handful of guys i'd rather have in than malts, or even a recovering draper, but if drapes is ready to go, you can't deny the fact that a key to winning is "chemistry". guys that have been playing together since abby and leino were in diapers have that advantage over them. that may spark a 0 pp goal game for the dicks tonight too....there goes most of anahymen's goals. babs will make the right decision in the end..

Babcock speaks to Datsyuk about lack of production

i would love to see that!!! dats has been awesome, sometimes you don't get a bounce. personally though, i'd like to see atleast 3-0 with a datsyuk hatty! then he can moon the media after the game go wings -
Maltby - 10 games, 1 assist, -2, 3 shots Leino - 10 games, 13 pts (3g, 10a), even, 24 shots someone tell me why he's in the press box?? don't get me wrong, maltby hasn't been bad, he's just not been that effective that the wings would keep leino and his offensive flare out of the lineup in game 7. no salary cap in the playoffs, use all the weapons you can to get to the next round. this guy should have been on the team all year, it's time to give him a shot.

good point, crashing the net would have made hiller's night a little tougher last night.

thank you for researching for your reply. that's the same stats i was looking at before posting. cheli was replaced by meech. young, but capable to provide as much and more than cheli. sometimes you gotta take out a little experience for some youthful exuberance. maltby, like said in another post by someone, is a shadow of himself. helm and abby are the replacements for the legendary draper and maltby. give them props for the years of excellence, and step aside for the new blood. and helm's been one of the best wings this year in the playoffs again, just like he was last year. home ice is gonna be good again in game 7 to get ZDH to shut down the getzlaf line and let hossa and franzen pick up where they left off in game 5. here we go with forward lines now.....it may make more sense if you draw it out dats-zetterberg-homer hossa-flip-franze leino-huds-sammy cleary-helm-abdelkader (aka. new grind line) and a damn good one! 4 lines that can score and line 4 which played shifts together last game was probably the wings best line yesterday. roll 4 and wear down the ducks.
-
i think the best part of the series is that the only discussion about malkin is how he only plays hard for 5 minutes a game. he is lazy and only competes when he has the puck, pretty much floats around with that special needs look on his face when the coach yells for him to hustle back and play defence. you shouldn't be -2 when you have 17 pts in 12 games. atrocious!
-
leave abdelkader in. he's been really good and EFFECTIVE! wait and see what happens when leino doesnt get his shot and ends up signing with the ducks or maple leafs next season and everyone on this site wonders why he's getting 70+ pts on their 1st or 2nd line. dump maltby

are wings developing their prospects too slowly?
Z Winged Dangler replied to Phazon's topic in General
the difference between red wings prospects and other teams is draft position.... the wings last high draft picks were yzerman, lidstrom and federov if im not mistaken. 18 year olds that come in and make a difference in the league right away are generally in the top 10 in the draft, which the wings don't get because they're always in the 25-30 range for their 1st pick. the wings draft guys with "potential" as opposed to immediate skill, like toews, kane, crosby, etc. the "black aces" earn their spot on a great team/organization. they're not expected to come into a crappy team and steal the show their rookie season....stamkos - t bay, crosby - pens. that's what happens when you're a model of consistancy, you maintain your team over time instead of rebuilding every few years. what's that, 17 or 18 years in a row in the playoffs? i'd take diamonds in the rough like dats and z over drafted superstars. the wings know how to do business...that's why guys like hossa come for less and are trying desperately to stay. helm, abdelkader and ericsson are the players they are now because of the path they took to earn their spot on a team that could win now 5 in 12 years -
bettman's gonna see the league through alot more turbulence if many more of the southern states teams keep loosing multi-million dollars each year. revenue sharing is only there to keep his precious teams where they don't belong. he needs to give his head a shake and start moving the franchises where people are gonna go to the games. places like phoenix, atlanta, and florida to name a few are gonna HAVE to be moved soon seeing as their survival depends on other teams profits....detroit, toronto, NYR, habs, flames.... just give balsille and hamilton a ******* team already!!!
-
I was born in a wings jersey. my dad has been a wings fan his entire life, and me growing up sitting beside the old man on the couch watching the likes of yzerman and probert, shanny and federov, vladdy and lidstrom on to todays crews of dats and z, hossa and mule, still lids thank god and raffi.....what's not to love about a team that keeps giving us fans the best?!?! on top of the players, the style. i hate watching teams that do nothing but dump and chase. the wings possession and attack style keeps things interesting, and they have the skill to do it. and of course watching the wings beat the jets whenever they came here were some good memories...go wings!
-
that's a pretty good worst case scenario if hossa doesn't take another discount. but i wonder who's gonna be in net in the future. ozzy/conklin may be back for another year and then waiting in the wings...howard/larsson/mccollum. hmm... also, what's going on with some of the other griffins, such as emmerton, pyett, and is kindl really worth mention anymore or just future trade bait?
-
the caps big game plan is give ovechkin the puck...watch him...and hope he scores. that's pretty ground breaking seeing as it's been their game plan for what, 4 years now?!?
-
dats hasn't put up points, but he's still played really good. like everyone's saying, it's only a matter of time til he starts scoring. when he does, look out!
