Wow Winnipeg.....just unbelievable. I've NEVER seen anything like that at a Jets game EVER or basically anywhere in Winnipeg and especially not to a young kid likely there with his old man who paid the same amount for a ticket. I mean, when I went to the Wings/Jets game in November and was sporting both teams, I got made fun of pretty good, but i'm not a young kid and that was all in good fun, no outward hostility. Good for JT for being such an awesome professional.

Past his slapshot, he doesn't have much to offer. Not a particularly good passer, which Rafs very much was and he's not good defensively which is why it took him so long to break into Nashville and why when you watch Preds games you more or less forget he's on the team. Very sheltered ice time.

And the Oilers also suck pretty hard. If we can't/won't/don't beat these guys, then that should be an indication of how porous our playoff push will be without Z.

This post basically screams for Xavier Ouellet. If we don't get Boyle, I'd love to see XO come up and put his stamp on our blueline.

Like I said in the last GDT, the Wings are like an Army without a General without Z. The leaders we have who can step up are Kronner, Alfie, Mule and Legwand. Mule and Legwand have been busting ass, Kronner has ben on/off on/off lately and Alfredsson has been a ghost since the Olympics. With Dats out also, it adds a lot more burden on those 4 guys, with Z out, we don't have that guy that throws the team on his back to make the post season. Mule can try, but he's not the leader Z is. Z turns it up 6 gears when it's on the line.

Sadly, our D has been lame. Hopefully Ouellet, Sproul and Marchenko pan out quickly and replace Q, Kindl and whoever else plays their way off the team. Oh hey, 4-1, goodnight guys and gals. I have better things to waste my time on than this mess.

Sadly I agree. Time to hang em up and see what Pulkkinen can do, or Mantha if he plays his way onto the Wings.

I'm wrapping up all the achievements for Fable anniversary... Could have at least won this 4 point game for us dedicated fans.

Usually I wouldn't write this team off for making the playoffs, but without Z for 7-8 weeks, I'm not liking our complete lack of leadership. Alfredsson's been a sleeper since the Olympics ended, Ericsson's been terrible, Kronner's been on-off-on-off... Howard has been bad this year. Dats is gone for 2 more weeks. Basically without Z, our team is like an Army without their General.
