We already knew that Stamkos was a ?? for the tournament. Tavares was a 4th liner half the time anyways. I think there's guys that should have been on the team over guys that are on the team, but there's a team there and if they lose tomorrow, the only excuse is that the American team played better and wanted it more. Glen Healy was a terrible goalie at the NHL level, so you figure the amount of games he watched from the bench, he'd form a more useful and worthy opinion. Good players come from other leagues and play in the NHL all the time and do quite well, so not all the best players are in the NHL, just the vast majority. In the Olympics though, you can clearly see that every team has very good players and guys who do things right to make their countries Olympic team. Glen Healy is such an idiot.

The other games that most of us were on here were on the weekend. This game was on during work hours, hence the drop in Canadian activity.

If you want a trade with the Jets for D, you're not gonna get far with Bogo or Trouba offers. Enstrom, Stuart and Buff apparently can be had at the right price. But the Jets also want to push for the playoffs this season. So whoever they trade, they want to do it in a way to stay competitive and in the playoff hunt.

Finland lines up at the blueline and plays 110% D. 2. Russia needs to skate hard to penetrate the wall of D, and Ovechkin, Malkin and Semin have been quite lazy and HATE to chase dump ins. Your boys may have an advantage going into the semi's being a little more battle tested than the Canadian's. An intense game with Russia and then the Czechs will have your boys focused. Latvia may make our boys complacent, and you know Babcock's teams don't always show up in the 1st period to do anything other than weather a storm. I guess you can choose your evil in this case...

God I can't wait for that... I thought Canada played pretty good against Austria. Our cycle was really god all game and the boys were moving well. Just need to cash in more. Finland was lining up at the blue line all game, it was hard to watch, and Norway I thought played a really good game. They were hustling hard, and in some cases taking some pretty good runs at our guys. That takes a toll.

Well if you're gonna go all in, at least spell Kessel's name right! God he's been out of his mind for like 6 weeks now. I was at the Leafs vs Sens game for military appreciation night and he was off his rocker that game too with a hat trick. But then I must add, Shea Weber's slapshot. I know he hasn't put any through the net in these Olympics, but he's put 2 in it.

So 4 more goals for than Canada, and 2 more against. So your guys offence has been working better and our D has been working better. And 6 of our goals are from our D. We all know full well our F's have been lame offensively, but it's only a matter of time before the smelling salts kick in. All it takes is a little patience for the other team to make a mistake and strike. D isn't our worry, so there's a massive bonus. To answer your question to darkmanx, that is our Canadian team in a nutshell. A defensive juggernaut that is ready to explode offence.

When was that ever implied? He already told you that Canada's O hasn't been working the greatest, but our D and G have been great aside from 2 deflection goals. Pretty simple I'd say. You clearly have tons of pride, as do your American players. No one EVER questioned that once.
