It definitely wasn't on purpose. He slid across the crease and stopped on the post, textbook goaltending, but he knocked the net off not even half an inch and play continued and it went unnoticed. Datsyuk is ******* amazing. -

How in the world is that a "good call"? Quick pushed his net off and neither he or the refs fixed it and it only went noticed when Russia got the go ahead goal. Bad call is more like it. -

Just heard that Barkov is out of the tournament. Too bad, I really really like that kid and I wanted him to push Canada hard tomorrow. Let's hope the injuries slow down and the best teams are in the medal round with their best players. You're too wreckless Bobrovsky! Reign it in. You're a loose cannon Bobrovsky! TSN isn't the same anymore. -
When the hell did Smid get traded to the Flames? I must have missed that. My bad. I still think he's not that great though. He had 1 good year in Edmonton, but he blows D zone coverage a lot, so by that account, he'd fit on the Wings current blueline seamlessly.

I'm Canadian and I'm tired of seeing the "bring home gold Sidney" commercial during a USA vs Russia game. I know CBC is a Canadian channel, but it takes away from the effect of this epic battle. -

One may notice though that their bottom 6 is scary below average for the olympic stage. This game may be decided by depth, which is a battle that the Americans would win as they have 4 solid lines. Nichuskin (spelling?) and Kulemin are not gonna cut it. -

That was a pretty weak trip. Kovalchuk went down pretty easy there. That last play really makes you wonder if refs wear a cup in those ref pants. -
