I'm not overly concerned at forward anyways. I'd rather see us ice a team where the only FA pickup is Girardi and call it a day. I'd like Moulson, but I'd be perfectly happy with the following lineup next season, with some trades of course to lose a couple guys: Z-Dats-Nyquist Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco Mule-Helm-Weiss Abs-Glendening-Callahan Miller Kronwall-Ericsson Girardi-Smith DeKeyser-Ouellet Lashoff Howard-Mraz Trade Andersson and Kindl, let Tuzzi, Cleary and Quincey walk, Alfredsson retire, sign Girardi and unfortunately buy out Tootoo. I'd go out in the street and yell out "I love our team" and then clarify to the locals I'm not referring to the damn Leafs.

Moving forward, I'd take Moulson over Vanek and Callahan. Vanek will cost a quality prospect as a rental and then 7+ mil per and Callahan wants 6+ for 7 years apparently. Moulson would fit well here and would probably run us around Weiss money.

That record with all the injuries we've had is an accomplishment. I wish the only 2 Wings going to Sochi were Tatar and Jurco, maybe Nyquist and the rest were resting for the home stretch. I want to see a healthy Wings team somehow still with the Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco line. I think we could contend. D is still a little bit shaky, but I think the right forward combo could really help out the D a lot.

On the PP, I'd start the kids and follow up with the Miller-Glendening-Eaves line. They're clicking good tonight and would keep the PP simple and effective.

I'm not sure Alfredsson will be back next season. He's been injured this season and is slowing down considerably. If we could get Moulson or Vanek in the offseason to take his spot, I'd say work on that. Either that or try to get Callahan should he not sign with the Rangers. I used to want Gaborik, but we have enough injury problems. I'm with you, I think that we should try to get one of them. The only thing I don't want to have happen is Holland just sign whoever he can when/if the others get signed already. Let the kids come up and send them back down and sign a tweener for 1 year if they need more seasoning.

I actually gave a decent return to the Jets who can use Almqvist right away and pair Pulkkinen with a playmaker when they inevitably trade Kane somewhere. The Flyers I gave crap cause they have the worst GM in the league aside from Edmonton, but I think they'd like McKee cause he's a big tough bastard and Ferraro could work there with his game.

I wouldn't really label the board as a whole in that category, but I do agree that calling for a Datsyuk trade is wayyy overboard. That's about as knee jerk as it gets.

I really like that team, though i'd try to move Miller, maybe to Buffalo as mentioned to play with Ryan, and I'd bring up Ouellet in place of Almqvist, whom i'd try to move at the trade deadline. I think Ouellet is gonna be one of the better 2-way Dmen in the league for a long time.

I'd trade Kindl to the Jets for Stuart and offer a package of Almqvist, Pulkkinen and Andersson for Bogosian. I'd offer the Flyers McKee, Cleary and Ferraro for Brayden Schenn. McKee fits their mould, they wanted Cleary in the offseason so they can have him and Ferraro could fit there as well as a 4th line C. After that, I'd simply make the playoffs and possibly win the Cup, and the rest they say, is history.
