Bogo for Almqvist, Pulkkinen, and Andersson.
-
Mitchell Callahan would do nicely and throw Abdelkader on the other wing and you have an energy line that hits like the grind line of old.

I'm gonna be 100% selfish for a minute. All the games start between 0700 and 1200 local, I will be at work aside from weekend games, the Wings players are all beat up and could use a 3 week gap in the schedule to just rest and work on the goddamn PP. So if I can't watch most of the games, and the Wings need to not go and rest, I could really not care less if the NHL pulls out, cause it's the best thing for the Detroit Red Wings, and PVR takes away the excitement, as does someone yelling out scores and such. Now from another standpoint, my 2 favourite players, though injured, are captains of their teams, so for their sake, I hope they get to go and battle for gold with Canada and USA fighting for bronze.
-
Though the Jets would not trade those 2 for Howard. Maybe Howard and Nyquist or Tatar, but not 2 for 1.
-
I'm watching it too. Man the Jets hit a lot. You like them don't you? I'll tell you one thing, they'd be a pain in the ass in a 7 game series. Sheifele finally plays like an NHLer.

In 4 years we won't have Cleary, Quincey, Tuzzi, Sammy, Tootoo buried, Eaves bouncing back and forth not being claimed on waivers, Miller may be gone, Andersson will play his was further down the depth chart. We'll likely have Mantha, Jarnkrok, Pulkkinen, Sproul, Ouellet, Marchenko, with options for Backman as well, Mrazek pushing Howard, or starting, Paterson pushing them both, gritty young guys like Tuzzi Jr and Nastasiuk pushing our bottom 6 for their jobs. We won't have Dats likely in 4 years, and an aging Z, but we still have a lot of good young players and all we need is for a couple high quality free agents to say hey, I wanna play in Detroit. It's not like we're never gonna get another big free agent again.
-
Yeah they had a very rough night. They'll bounce back. The best thing about playoffs is that when you make them, it's a 7 game series. You can drop a stinker 1 night and then win 4 straight to dispatch your opponent. Once this team gets healthy, if we can keep up guys like Sheahan and Glendening, we'll push hard for a spot. Kronwall's been the Z on the back end this season, he's gotta be tired by now.

Well at least you're comical in the loss. Good to keep your sense of humour. Even a good shutdown rental I mentioned before like Mark Stuart or Brad Ference. They would both fit very well here.
-
If it makes anyone on here feel any better, the Jets just got 2 quick goals against the Preds to tie the game at 3 and then Weber got away with some usual gooning and the Jets are likely gonna take exception against him in the 3rd. I'd love to see Thorburn level him. Back to the Wings game. These nights happen. Sometimes you get the bounces, sometimes they all go against you. You replace Andersson and Cleary with Dats and Z, and a few of those bounces may go our way. Watch next game we win 6-0 against the Caps and everyone gets their erection/lady wood back and we all rejoice together. Let's just stop the BS trade Dats talk. Save s*** talk like that for Penguins and Cansucks fans.

Couldn't buy a bounce tonight, it happens. Glendening is a point per game player in the AHL and can't buy his 1st goal in the NHL and then kinda scores on our own net. Hope Abs is ok.
-
Andersson is not good offensively.
-
Where's Tootoo? He'd be good at that sorta thing.
-
Yeah, let's follow the Oilers path. One by one the players left and after the Messier lead Cup, they've been a joke for the past 20 years. Good call.
-
All our good chances are posts or missing the net. Dial in the sights and this game could be tied at 4. Unfortunately, it's not.
-
Pavel Datsyuk is one of the most special players ever to lace up a pair of skates. He can do things that make most guys wake up from their dream covered in Tatar sauce. To think the amount of people saying it's time to trade him when we are watching a game where we're missing Dats, Z, Mule, Weiss and Howard's also not playing and the kids have hit 3 or 4 posts is completely absurd. You don't trade a guy like Datsyuk, ever. He's loyal to the team and deserves to stay for his whole career just like Stevie Y and Lids, and just like Zetterberg will.
-
Babcock has a degree in sports ology and he's the best coach ever. Don't question his authoritahhhhhh!
-
This exactly. I couldn't name 10 Dmen in the league I'd take over Kronwall as our #1 guy. And with the likes of Ouellet, Sproul and Marchenko coming up in the next few to push guys for jobs, I'm not worried about our D.
-
Dats = injured Z = injured Mule = injured Howard = often injured If Dats and Z weren't captains for their teams, I could see them resting, but since they are, they will play. That's my thoughts anyways.

If it doesn't get any better and Gamecenter doesn't work in the 2nd period on my Xbox, I'm gonna leave this on the laptop muted and play NHL 14. That's how lame this s*** is.
-
Gamecenter is broken. Can't get on it on my Xbox or computer….
-
Not bad, but I'd make a couple changes: Tatar-Tinky-Jurco (DON'T TOUCH EVER!) Nyquist-Helm-Alfie (speed-speed-smart) Eaves-Glendening-Abs (sandpaper line) Cleary-Andy-Miller (keep the ineffictiveness to 1 line)
-
Abdelkader has been awesome this year. Sure he could bury some more of his chances, but he's got some goals, a decent number of assists, but the thing he does that's most valuable is he forechecks like a pitbull. Numerous goals have been scored because of his forecheck and puck retrieval. That's why Dats and Z love playing with him. He does the grunt work and makes his linemates lives easier.
-
Poor guy. This sucks. Everytime things start looking up for this team, we get news like this.
-
Andersson came on here and voted for himself anonymously!

If we go after any Dman from the Oilers, it should be Ference to play on the 3rd pairing with Lashoff as a shot blocking tandem. Like I mentioned in the line thread, trading Kindl to the Jets for Stuart, Ference would be along the same lines as Stuart as a pure shutdown guy, but Stuart is tougher and blocks even more shots. I would go for one of them as a rental on D and then try to re-sign if we don't bring up one of Ouellet, Marchenko or Sproul next year.
