Bogo would be huge on the PP for the Wings. Not just because he has a RH shot, but because he can really hammer it. I just want to know what the Jets would want in return for him as he is a top 4 Dman.

The Rangers team as a whole has been underachieving the past couple seasons. You ever hear the term "change of scenery did him wonders"? That likely would help both Callahan and Girardi who are very good players. And Callahan adds quite a bit of grit to a team that would sorely need it. I want Callahan and Ouellet up pretty bad too, but to pass on the 2 Rangers players if the opportunity arises to get both is just bad business. I'd like Callahan at 5 mil and Girardi at 4.5 mil. Offer both their contracts at the same time and see if they want to jump ship and play together on a team that they could improve much more than the stale Rangers.

He and DeKeyser are both Michigan boys so they can count. The Wings are the only team they've both played for as well, so I'll give Holland some credit for those signings, along with the scouts, but like I said, signings like Sammy, Cleary, Miller for 3 years and signing Tuzzi for more than 1 year at a time even though I've always been a fan of his is just stupid. And then there's Tootoo, 3 years for how much again? And then he gets 6 minutes a game and then buried in GR even though we play better and gain more energy with him on the Wings.... Sometimes I just don't get how the coach and GM don't see what millions of other people do see.

I was unaware that Ryan Callahan was a pending UFA. He would be amazing here. Michalek has injuries too much as you mentioned and is also inconsistent with production and doesn't always put out the effort I've noticed.

Good point. I guess it's more the crap signings than trades. 2 offseasons ago when he should have done 1 year signings across the board really handcuffed the team especially when the cap went down and everyone knew it was.

I wish the Wings powerplay would shoot the puck the way the Jets do. The American members on here will definitely look forward to Trouba being on the 2018 Olympic team. That kid is an amazing hockey player. What they need to do is trade Kane for a top line C.

That definitely is Blades of Steel. I think there's over 90 games in that collection now. There's the original, one for N64 as well and I think one other blades of steel believe it or not. No to Nyquist and Patterson when we'd have Ladd and Wheeler with Mrazek as our #1 G prospect? You want D, then bring up Ouellet, Sproul, Backman, Jensen...and draft more Dmen this offseason. Getting 2 top 6 forwards who play 200 foot games and are big, physical guys.....I'll give up quite a bit for that. But we'll need to dump salary on my original deal, so we'll have to give them Quincey as well who can be replaced by an ape to take penalties and we can try to pawn Sammy off on them for them getting some damn good prospects.

I personally think the Wings have a couple elite Dmen coming up in Sproul and Ouellet and Marchenko will be very good as well, so I don't want to trade Jimmy for a top Dman unless one of our Dmen goes with the trade. Something like Howard and Kindl for Pietrangelo, but I'm not sure that any teams that have a Dman like him, Weber, Karlsson, Suter etc that also have solid goaltending are going to want Howard and whatever else we have to offer. So I go back to my last part where I'd like to see Sproul and Ouellet in place of Q next year and maybe unload Kindl to a team will crap D like Edmonton or Florida.

Other than a terrible power play, I thought they played pretty good. Especially since half the team was puking all night. The only criticism I have is also the one-timer bit. Shoot the puck. If a guy blocks it, hustle and get it back. Let him take it somewhere where he may not block the next one. Keep hammering away. The final sequence before the game ended, they were taking all their shots from the perimeter and not getting any from the middle. Oh, and Sammy is horrible. He can't even shoot anymore. He is slow motion assassinating shin pads now.

Pavelec is one of the most inconsistent starters in the league. Cheveldayoff needs to go too. You need a 1st line C and you sign Setoguchi....and then proceed to sign everyone possible for the bottom 6. Kane would be a whipping boy here within 5 games. His attitude and the amount he misses the net is absurd. He has a good shot when he hits the net 3 out of 10 times. Not a good passer or puck handler in the deking sense. Tons of speed and good hitter, but for his cap hit, he's not worth it. If the rumour is actually true that the Jets are shopping all those guys, Wheeler, Ladd and Bogo are all really good pickups. I'd take Ladd over anyone else as he's a durable guy that has a complete game. He is exactly what the Wings need and I'd definitely trade a hefty pile to get him and Wheeler in a package. I'd say Nyquist, Marchenko, Almqvist, Pulkkinen, Patterson and a 1st. Not sure how many prospects they'd want, but that's what I'd actually be willing to give for Ladd and Wheeler, maybe more.

That's why I can't wait for Sproul to be a Wing.

Tuzzi and Z were so happy for Tatar. It was very nice to see. The hug on the bench from the Captain really hit home. The Wings finally did something to help Jimmy out though....instead of screening him and not blocking shots they sold out hard tonight as a team and blocked shots and played physical. A lot of the shots that got through to Jimmy were tricklers and then he made all the other saves and some of them quite big. He definitely had to save us on a few boneheaded turnovers. Glendening has been our best PK guy and he's twice as fast as Andersson and forechecks harder and better than probably anyone not named Helm. That's an element the Wings also need to keep along with Sheahan.

He can't deke and his passing is subpar. I like that he shoots a lot, which is the main reason he scores a decent amount. but he's also only had the one 30 goal season. He has a wild shot and he misses high all the time cause of his banana curve. I wouldn't complain if he were a Wing, but he'd get ripped apart here for bad penalties, attitude and missing the net 7 out of 10 times. And this year, he's been taking a lot of games off.

See him stretch it out on that last faceoff when Carter wouldn't put his stick down? That's another thing that hampers you on draws is the lower back pain. And with over 20 mins TOI, he's gonna feel it and he'll be out of the line up as soon as the other guys are back.

Wheeler yes, but he's not on the table. Kane, no. He's got a real attitude problem and while he's tough and fast and has a good shot when it hits the net, he takes Bertuzzi penalties all the time and he can't deke worth a damn. He definitely has hammer hands. The Jets are my 2nd favourite team and I want them to trade Kane and Setoguchi.
