I think he's more referring to Drouin running his mouth more than playing hockey. He was doing that long before his misconduct. I've thought Dumba has been crap all tournament. He's undisciplined with 6 minors so far in the tournament and he has terrible D-zone coverage. Around the net, he's very weak. Pouliot has been a relative non factor today. Hopefully he has a big 3rd.

This one was crap though. He tries to finish a clean hit and buddy looks like a soccer player trying to avoid a free kick. I guess Petan and Drouin should be fresh for the 3rd . Good thing most of this team play centre usually.

Canada has zero offensive creativity this game. And Mantha just had a crap giveaway while no one attempted to get open. I don't wake up to watch Canada play for bronze. One thing I will not do! Droin finally shows this game what he's really good at. As soon as buddy on Finland cowered like a sissy, Drouin should have known to lay off the hit. Can't keep the momentum when you're head is up your ass. 2 and a 10 is when buddy can't take a hit like a man.

What a brutal period of hockey! The announcers keep talking about how Mantha lurks in the shadows and you don't notice him too much until he gets on the board, well if Drouin passes him the puck earlier in the game he'd be far more engaged. I like Drouin, but his dipsydoodling around and not getting the puck deep or dishing it off is cooling off his line mates. Not impressed with Drouin's 1st period whatsoever. Make some passing plays and dangle from the corner or behind the net to get out front, not from the blue line in.

I hope Finland rolls over and plays dead.

Miller is an older version of Howard. Erhoff has a terrible contract and isn't very good with D-zone coverage. Ott is a good player, but I don't like him at all. Moulson, hell yeah as long as he re-signs with us. If the centrepiece of a trade were Miller and Moulson with Howard going the other way without Ott and Erhoff off the table, i'd offer: Buffalo: Miller and Moulson for Detroit: Howard, Quincey, Pulkkinen, Andersson and a 2nd round pick.

Once our Canadian boys dispose of your other arch rivals that is. They need to stomp Finland like the Czech's should have before they s*** the bed. I wouldn't call the Swedes the underdog in this tournament though. Top to bottom they're the best team. I really hope Sweden has no suspensions.

Glad that little guy on Russia got the player of the game. He had a really good tournament up to now and he was one of the only Russian players that didn't act like a D-bag.

A tiny cut on the lip and buddy goes down like he got a shotgun blast to the face. I would have much rather seen USA vs Sweden where they worry about hockey and not diving to get calls. Sure he got cut a tiny bit, but the rest of the line circling around him like he got shot was just pure lame. Me too. He's been less than good the past couple seasons, but like you said, Buffalo is atrocious. A change of scenery might be good. Buffalo is a few good players away from being competitive again though. Especially with Zadorov and Grigorenko well on their way. Not sure if Zadorov would go to the KHL when he's got NHL size and talent.

That would be the biggest win. When's the last time we had a game without a groin pull or a jaw get re-alligned? It would be very very nice to have the Wings go a full game without anyone going down. If anyone else sits out a game though, let's just hope it's the flu. That goes away in a week or so.

Lindholm with a beauty pass and a heavy shot by Forsberg. I really wish Lindholm wasn't drafted yet so he could go to his rightful place on the Wings.

I really hope it's Sweden vs Canada for the gold. I really like that Elias Lindholm kid on Sweden. Carolina needs more kids like him on that scrambled egg roster. I would not be ok with Canada losing to Russia in a gold medal scenario, but Sweden wouldn't be too hard to handle should Canada take silver. Canada is also an underdog if they play Sweden which may be a good thing to help them start on time. Finland is kinda junk this year and they're lucky to be in the game today. Canada better hand them a convincing loss. Get out of the period with 0 goals against is a win for the period. Settle down and drop the hammer in the 2nd. 5 on 3 coming up!
