The only time you notice him is when he ruins the cycle or rush by giving the puck away. He's gotta be leading the NHL in giveaways by at least 100.

While Cleary skates around with some sort of diplomatic immunity even though he's possibly the worst player in the NHL.

I missed the firs 48 minutes of this game and haven't been on the GDT until now, but I'd like to point out that Nyquist has more goals than Cleary this year. It took ONE GAME!

Babcock has been fireable this year. Either he needs to fall out of love with Cleary, or they can both leave and take Kenny with them.

It doesn't matter how good Tatar, Nyquist and Jurco are if they're buried for the likes of Cleary, Miller and Sammy. We have the pieces to be a contender but it's a matter of not having faith in management to use them properly. Jurco may not be a Wing in time to play with and learn from Dats.

I always wanted to see him in a top 6 role. His speed opes up so much room for the other guys. That's why Franzen had 3 goals in the prior 2 games. Helm and Tatar did their thing, created confusion for the other teams Dmen and Franzen was wide open with all day to shoot. If you give Franzen that much time, he buries it. He hasn't had that kind of time in a very long time, hence why he was a complete waste of talent prior to that line being assembled. Keep in mind as well that 11 forwards dressed. That kills lines' momentum when they get going and then get tossed in the blender. Top 6 should have been as is, and the other 5 should have fought for ice time as a 3rd unit. That may have lit a fire under someone's ass in that group not named Abdelkader, who did his thing, hit and was not bad at all tonight. Andersson, Miller and Cleary are baggage.

Our offence sucks. On D we can call up Ouellet, Almqvist and Sproul. On offence we can call up Glendening to play on the 4th line and that's our 1 option. If a trade is made it would be to get better forwards, but alas, no one wants Holland's brain farts.

Really? He had 1 sub par game after 2 great games where he and Tatar finally got Franzen going and he got 60% of his goals playing with those 2. Most of the team sucked ass tonight.

Andersson with a terrible play on the 1st goal, Howard got lazy getting back into position knowing the boards are active at the Joe on the 2nd goal, then Cleary takes an idiot penalty as usual not controlling his stick and then Sammy punks out of a fight with Stalberg….brutal. Wait for the kid at the other end to get his 1st career shutout.

EA's whole system is crap. DeKeyser is still under 80 rating, Quincey is over 80, Ericsson should be better defensively for ratings, rookies are all 60 on faceoffs....the list goes on. Howard has missed a few saves he could have had, but there's certain guys that get on the ice and don't bring much to the table that's positive and are heavy minus ratings. Cleary, Quincey, Miller and Andersson should all be on cold streaks.

23 games, 24 goals, 30 assists, 54 points. I'm damn glad we got this kid. And then in this game a goal and an assist against the best Russian players.

Mantha kinda reminded me of a left handed Blake Wheeler, which excites me as Wheeler is one of my favorite players.

If only our 5-6 behind that excellent top 4 was Kindl-Ouellet. I can't wait for guys to fight to keep their spot from Sproul as well, who is now kicking serious ass in GR.

Maybe Mantha and Jurco will make the team next year if Holland wakes up and lets the excessive veterans go. Those 2 could along with Tatar own the shootout and take the pressure off Dats and Z whom score a PPG+ in regulation.

Absolutely yes. I would move Andersson cause I believe Glendening is a better player. I would attempt to move Quincey and I would not re-sign Miller again as soon as UFA season opens. In no way, shape or form would I break up a line that has Franzen playing good and doing actual hockey related things aside from floating. When Weiss and Alfredsson are back, they beef up a 3rd line that tonight will spotlight Cleary and Sammy. Z-Dats-Tuzzi Mule-Helm-Tatar Abdelkader-Weiss-Alfredsson Tootoo-Glendening-Eaves Bye to Andersson via trade, Cleary in the press box where he belongs along with Sammy. Tootoo and Eaves come back up cause they're better 4th line energy guys than Miller, Cleary, Sammy or even Andersson who isn't bad, but just hasn't been that impressive this year.

Ya that's an atrocious line. Even Andersson has been kinda meh this year. He lost a step for no apparent reason. I say move Smith to the wing on teh 4th line for a game instead of tiring out the forwards and rotating guys around and having a 7th Dman riding the pine.....unless that 7th Dman becomes Quincey.

A pilon is an improvement over Quincey. Del Zotto reminds me of Smith. Same style.
