I went back to find this. Franzen has a shot now.
-
Miller forechecks like a sissy.
-
Not anything special, but they're moving their feet more and forechecking our D hard. That creates all the "lucky" bounces they're getting. They're earning a 6+ to 1 win, while the Wings are earning a loss.
-
Cleary with another dangerous shot as usual
-
How do we have a 2 on 3 rush and not pick up Bobby Ryan? What a horrible effort. This game is a message more to Kenny Holland than Babcock and his line combos.
-
Not hard when only 2 of them are scoring.
-
Cleary on the PP....that'll get the Wings going!
-
The ONLY reason I want Tootoo moved asap.
-
I've seen the Wings play bad, but this particular effort is Phillybad.
-
I like Tuzzi, though I'd rather have Nyquist. Cleary, Sammy and Miller need to go though. Then we'd be able to keep Tootoo on the 4th line instead of him being our trade bait to keep scrubs. Abdelkader went straight stone hands instead of making a scoring chance
-
Tuzzi's 2nd wrap around goal of the year. He may be on to something.
-
first 2 goals Jimmy was screened pretty bad. Ryan got a nice shot through a Dman on the 3rd. I won't hammer on Jimmy for this. But hopefully the boys wake up and start skating and stop taking crap penalties and waving their stick like poofs when they should be hitting guys. Worst period of the year so far. Let's hope it's followed by 2 of their best and they beat this marginal Sens team.
-
Sproul has been compared to Pietrangelo more whereas in the pre-season some of the Wings players said they thought they had a left handed Rafalski back there. I'm going by comparables more than what player could/would/should be up. If that is what you were referring to...
-
Glendening B+, Kindl B+, Bertuzzi B and Tootoo B+. Other than that I agree with everything and the write ups are very good, especially Cleary.
-
Abs, Alfredsson, Kronwall, Smith and Howard......wow dude....epic. The Sens lineup brought to you by excel. Good job Flashy. Alfredsson gets a hat trick in a 6-2 Wings win.
-
George Parros?
-
Almqvist is a left handed Rafalski.
-
Alfredsson retires after this season, and Holland buys out Franzen. Keeps Tatar and Nyquist up full time and with the money that went to Franzen and Alfredsson this year, he offers Vanek. Jurco is our call up next year.
-
Last game he looked like a Norris candidate. He continues to play like that and we'll be discussing this much sooner than 3 years. He played awesome D, blocked multiple shots, smartly joined rushes and got a few scoring chances. He was a force last game.
-
Dats would have scored last night if he didn't get under the puck too much. He had Niemi beat.
-
Smith and Ouellet were awesome last night, so there is that to back up your statement. I guess time will tell.
-
DeKeyser is my 2nd favorite Dman already behind Kronwall. He's got the poise of a 10+ year veteran Dman. Side note, Ouellet looked like he was trying to emulate DeKeyser out there last game. The young inexperienced blueline didn't look so young and inexperienced last game. DeKeyser has stepped his game up to a whole new level since Kronwall went down and it looks like the other young guys are looking at how he's playing and buying in. Even Smith looked really solid last game. He and Ouellet worked very well together. Deke can play with anyone and be awesome.

Nyquist taking things in stride, with class
Z Winged Dangler replied to matthewdanna's topic in General
You also missed the part where I stated that Cleary got to play with Dats and Z whereas Nyquist did not. That would also help produce points playing with the top 2 guys on the team. Also, being on the PP with them versus not being on the PP at all. -
I'm still convinced that Logan Couture and the bent tooth kid from the Slytherin Quiddich team are the same person. I've said it before and I stand by it.

After beating us last night in that BS game, they had to have noticed that Smith was meh and that they actually did not even know Franzen was playing unless they looked really hard for him. Franzen for Barkov? Or can we please just have Fleischmann back? Smith for Huberdeau? The Panthers are run horribly so one of those may work. That would for sure be the nail in the coffin for Holmgren.
