I hope they do this and make this year on him a spotlight while he plays in Toledo. Call it Sammy 24/7, how's your pectoral muscle now buddy?
-
His salary would still count against the cap but i aak you....how funny would it be to make sammy play in Toledo? I'd be laughing my ass off

Canadian Dollar / Salary Cap foreshadowing
Z Winged Dangler replied to FireCaptain's topic in General
Our dollar here sucks ass cause our unemployment rate is going up due to not giving jobs to people who live here and only giving people jobs to come here. Canada isn't growing fast enough for the amount of people coming in. Don't expect the dollar to get back on par with the USD any time soon. -
He's got the Moves Like Jagr..because he's Jaromir Jagr.....

And he wants to win the Cup again? -
Devin Setoguchi Traded to Winnipeg for 2nd round 2014 pick

If I see him outside the MTS Iceplex on my way to hockey, I will politely ask him not to re-sign with the Jets after next year. He is a diving POS. And I will not be getting the Jets channel now. Thank god the Wings didn't get Ribiero cause I wouldn't even watch hockey next year. -
signed Wings sign Stephen Weiss, 5-years, $24.5m
Z Winged Dangler replied to Matt's topic in General
In our system, aren't most of our top forward prospects aside from Jarnkrok who's likely 3 years away wingers?? Nyquist, Tatar, Frk, Jurco, Tvrdon, Mantha, Pulkkinen, etc. Those guys need quality centremen to play around, we have 5 quality centremen with Z on Dats' wing and Weiss, Helm and Andersson to follow. And if Helm is ??? then Andersson moves up and Emmerton fills the 4th centre role admirably. So we have really good 2-way guys at C and a buttload of really talented and some with really good size wing prospects. I'm liking what's going on here. And Alfie is signed for 1 year to score 30 goals on Dats' wing hopefully and then his spot should be up for grabs. -
signed Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)

Oh September 10th, how I will take you off work and enjoy starting my GM mode with the Wings as well as my Be A Pro. That pic looks good dude! -
He was booked to participate in the prospect camp or something like that coming up. I'm guessing they want to test drive Helm and let the new kids see how fast the NHL can be.
-
Yes, and that's why Tatar should be on the 2nd line with Mule and Weiss. Have Andersson on the 4th line with Abdelkader and Miller and have our 3rd line as Brunner-Helm-Nyquist. Our 1st line being Alfie-Dats-Z THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!! Then trade the other guys that don't fit in the top 13 and keep Tuzzi as our 13th forward. I thought Tatar wasn't eligible to go back this year without clearing waivers?? He should be on the Wings anyways. 16 goals in the playoffs and the MVP.....= paid his dues yo!

Well get back in touch with Brunner and dump Cleary. With Brunner, we have a top 9.

signed Wings sign Stephen Weiss, 5-years, $24.5m
Z Winged Dangler replied to Matt's topic in General
Exactly. Kenny Holland said he was going to sign big forwards at the draft. He did. He said he was going to try and get a 2nd line centre and was looking at top 6 guys. He followed through. He said he was going to have to move some pieces around with trades and that guys that were assured spots on the Wings next year are Tatar, Nyquist, Smith, Andersson and Lashoff I believe. He's followed through on everything else and has been patient, unlike some GM's and has been responsible with a cap that's gone down 6 million. 2 best GM's of the summer are Kenny Holland and Kekaloopydoo from the BJ's. -

Indeed. Probably Zidlicky. And then Q would be good as gone -

Alfredsson-Dats-Z Mule-Weiss-Tatar Nyquist-Helm-SIGN BRUNNER! Other than that, my happy dance is in full flight too. -
signed Wings sign Alfredsson to 1-year, $3.5m deal (+$2m bonuses)
Z Winged Dangler replied to ogreslayer's topic in General
Alfredsson can score 30 goals still at 40 years old, he's signed for 1 year and then we'll be able to bring up the next kid that's ready. I love the signing and give Kenny 100% props on the signing. Nope. I hope that answers your question. -
I hate the coyotes and I hate Ribeiro, so I'm very happy with this signing.
-
Alfredsson could score 30 on Dats' wing, if he doesn't stay with the Sens, which he should. But if he does come to the Wings then having him on a 1 year deal would be a good bridge for someone like Pulkkinen or Frk to join the Wings to be the next right handed sniper.

Dreger: Filppula looking for $5.5m/season over at least 7 years
Z Winged Dangler replied to a topic in General
Like I said when the BJ's almost made the playoffs...they're gonna be really good. I don't care if the East has the B's and the Flyers....2 whole big tough teams, the Western conference is every bit as tough and playing against hard working "something to prove" teams like the BJ's is gonna be harder than a lot of people think. And yeah, if they add Horton and Flip at a decent price, look the f*** out! -
If Holland won't give Horton $6 mil, he sure as hell wouldn't give it to Weiss. $4 mil or bust. I like him but he was injured last year and his stats weren't very good, though the Panthers do suck. Alfredsson should retire a Senator, head held high with the C on his jersey as he looks to the rafters and watches his number get retired.

Seguin, Eriksson swapped in 7-player deal between Bruins and Stars

And has proven chemistry with Z and Mule. -

I wanted him to play on a line with Z and Mule. -
Ference is more of a 2.5-3 tops guy. He's a solid shutdown guy, but you want him at the #4-5 spot, preferably 5. He's like Scuderi with slightly less offensive upside. I'd like Weiss for 3 years 12-13mil.
-
Absolutely yes. I was intrigued before knowing that his days as a Leaf were numbered, but I didn't so much like his $5.5mil cap hit. If he signs for $4mil or less, I'm in.

Gaborik-Calvert-Horton. If I were Horton, I'd be ok with heading to a BJ's team on quite the rise.

Kindl hits the net with immaculate consistency. I don't care what else happens on the PP, but Brunner (assuming he signs) should definitely be on LW and our PP should revolve 66% around Kindl getting shots through to the net from the point. He was better on the PP last year than Kronwall.
