I would rather live in Saskatoon than Toronto. I moved from Winnipeg to Toronto for work and can't wait for the day I get posted back. and being at Jets games are far more exciting than the Leafs and their suits.

Weiss will be healthy next year and get 50-60 points. I'm not worried about him one bit. He hustled his ass off every shift and that's with a sports hernia and groin injury from day one. You can tell the effort is there, he just needs to be healthy and get a few bounces.

Yeah there was talk about Markham getting a team, which is weird cause it's basically just a different district of Toronto. But whoever said Toronto needs to grow, i'm not sure they've been here. This place is too big for it's own good, and is actually quite annoying. The issue that came up with Hamilton is that it also fit in the whole geographical boundaries or whatever for the Leafs and the Sabres. The Sabres also get a lot of Canadian business as it's closer for many and much cheaper and easier to get to games than Toronto, where you can't get tickets unless you deal with scalpers half the time. Personally, I believe that the next place that gets a team will be Seattle and then QC. After that, maybe Hamilton will get a team, but I really think that relocation should be back on the table for a team like Florida. Nashville isn't going anywhere. They have a strong fanbase from what i've seen/heard and their fans have really seem to have taken to the game.

100% correct. Winnipeg's biggest ??? is Pavelec. That guy is a Vezina candidate for like 5 games a year and then a team deflator the other 77. Howard would be a big upgrade. Then again, Mrazek likely would be too.

I think there's exceptions to be had every decade or so for guys jumping straight to the NHL. Mantha I think is one of them. If he makes the team out of training camp and doesn't start that great, then the Wings have 9 games before they have to send him back down I believe. For a guy with his goal scoring prowess that is 6'5, I don't see a good reason that we wouldn't want him on the team next season to fill a glaring need we have in our top 6.

Mantha is the only reason I haven't cancelled my cable yet, in case Val D'or wins it and they head to the Memorial Cup.

In his defense, Janmark was supposed to be one of the more skilled forwards in that draft. If that's the case, then draft him, but if it's a middle of the road dime-a-dozen forward that's undersized, no thanks. If you're taking a smallish guy, look at Max Domi types.

Agreed. Niskanen would be good, or a guy like Mark Stuart if the Jets don't re-sign him. Bogo won't be going anywhere or he'd be a good fit too. If we have to go with prospects, I'd rather have that than re-signing Q. In a perfect world, we'd get a #2-3 guy via UFA. Hopefully there's some interesting surprises July 1st.

Franzen for Troy Brouwer. Washington is the perfect fit for Franzen.

If we swap Q and Lashoff with XO and Marchenko, we'll see a difference. Both are steady Dmen that make a good 1st pass. Q's 1st pass is usually to the other team, and Lashoff was exposed badly this season when he had to play more minutes. I still think that Ouellet is our best D prospect overall.

I actually agree with that completely. An ordinary buyout on Tootoo wouldn't cost too much and it's over 2 years I believe, and Franzen's streakiness is getting old and very frustrating. He's a fan favorite for 15 games out of 82 and the other batch he's invisible trash. I'm with you LeftWinger....buy them both out. It'll give Holland money to go after a legit top 6 winger that wants to play 82 + playoffs every year.

Nyquist should have been left on the top line playing top minutes and he likely would have stayed hot down the stretch and in the playoffs. Too much bouncing around after that and too much time on a line with Mule who was complete garbage for the past 20 games.

I hope Mantha plays his way on to the team next year. That'll eliminate any questions in our top 9 and save our minds from being lost when Holland doesn't get Moulson, Vanek or Gaborik this offseason.

That could also be taken as praise for our 6 GR Dmen, who are all quite good to say the least. It's nice to see that our D depts isn't depleted and there's 6 guys we'd rather be able to choose from on GR that would likely be better than the Wings 5-6 guys. On the topic at hand though, I really hope the Griffs do good, defend their championship and some of the players get some really good hard looks from the Wings brass.

Franzen is awesome for 20 games a year and is lazy garbage the rest. How's that?
