It's been nearly 2 months and I can finally think about it without crying. I'm still really sad about Hossa. Say what you will about his play, but he's a sweet guy and didn't deserve the humiliation. And I can't even enjoy the success of the regular season because it was all in vain. And then I think how lucky the pens got to even make it to the Final again, and it was almost too easy for them to win. Like, most teams make it to the Finals and lose and then won't make it again for a few years(unless you're the Wings). But for the pens 08 was their first time to the Finals in how many years, and they didn't even have to wait like other teams for a return trip to the Finals let alone win the Cup. I'm hoping it'll get better when the new season starts...

Aside from all the injuries and lack of point production, I think it's actually my fault we lost. Not really, but I did notice odd similarities between the Wings in the playoffs and me in track. 2007- My last meet was Conference which was May 20th, also the day of game 6 of the WCF when the Wings were KO. My last meet of the season = their last game of the season. 2008- I made it to the State Final. Wings made it to the Cup Final. I got a medal. They got the Cup. 2009- I made it to State again. They made it to the Finals again. I didn't get a medal. They didn't get the Cup. Obviously I don't seriously think that's any part of it, I just thought it was a really weird coincidence. Just in case though if I make it to State again I'm trying even harder for a medal. We didn't?!?! Pshh well then forget what I said. How could we let that happen?!!?!

Finally some good news! IDK. He's a big body and a strong skater, but ever since the '08 playoffs, when he had that subdural hematoma, he's gonna have to be careful with taking head shots. This one's the best!!

That part made me lol. I've been superstitious in the fact that whatever was done the year they won the Cup, or when they just win a game, I do the same thing as before. Last year I really liked this song and changed the words to make it pertain to the Wings, now whenever I hear it on game day they win that game. I have a whole list of playoff songs that seem to win us games. Last year in track I went to state (which is roughly the same time as the SCF), got a medal, and the Wings won. This year I went to state agian, but didn't medal, and the Wings lost. So now more than before, I'm gonna try to do like in 08, states and a medal and see what happens.
