Hey guys, I need to become a pro Tigers fan by the end of June and was hoping you could help me out. I've read through the thread and a coupe blogs that were posted but is there anyway it can be related to hockey? I'm trying to become bilingual in sports but hockey is currently the only language I speak.

So I came across this gif...can someone verify the accuracy of the subtitles? I just can't believe the Perfect Human would say such thing?!

Nick, I don't care what anyone says, you will always be the best defenseman ever. No one else has been able to play so well for so long. You managed to make the opposition look foolish night in and night out with ease. Thank you for being such an amazing player and outstanding role model. Personally have tried to emulate your leadership, class, humility, and poise. I've even asked myself WWND? I know I speak for all of Hockeytown when I say we love you very much and will greatly miss you. Some called you The Perfect Human, others called you Lidstrom, but to me you'll always just be Nick. Thank you for making the Red Wings the best organization there is. May God bless you and your family in the future. Love, Me P.S. You are not allowed to go back to Sweden until I have met you.

I didn't want this day to ever come. But come it must. He was MY captain. I was too young to really remember Stevie leading the team, but I've grown up with Nick...it's not fair!! I wish I had gotten the chance to meet him!!!!! Nick you are the greatest defenseman to ever ever ever play the game! Ever! Nothing will be the same without you.

One thing to be said about Sammy was he was never afraid to shoot the puck, that's for sure.
-
I never totally understood the Sammy hate either. For all his logo hunting and shinguard assassinations he was pretty solid maybe even clutch. I just always liked him.

I know there's been a lot of chatter here about how Eaves is doing. Since he won't be back the rest of the season some blogs/sites are having readers comment wishing him well and sending them to him. Winging It In Motown

I think I posted this in the other thread, but this link is a more detail account of what happened. It highlights a few of the players/coaches. Just be warned...some things can't be unread. The Team That Vanished And I just love this one...
-
Loui Eriksson. He's such a good player and he always seems to get on the board against us! But he doesn't seem like a jerk at all. I'd love him on the Wings. Selanne would fit here too.

My eyes are leaking for some reason.

Love that video!! ^^ Found this article a couple months ago. It gives a lot of detail about a couple of the players a coaches. It also gives a lot of detail about the crash and rescue. A lot of detail. There were things that I'd rather not have known. DO NOT read it if you're sensitive to that stuff. Link There's also this from Puck Daddy a few days ago Link And this was posted in another thread a few weeks ago. Salei's National team retires his jersey.
