Finally!!! A thread that's praising Andreas, not bashing him. I think he's a great defenceman. Kind of a sleeper hit. I think that if him and Nick were paired while Raffy is out it could improve him a bit. He's already logging an S-word load of minutes. That picture is SO badass!!!! We must share the same book.

I think letting Hank go would be like if 10 years ago we said "Ya know Stevie with your bad knee always acting up we don't think you could get us a cup. Thanks for trying but see ya." It would be the stupidest thing to do. I do however think Datsyuk is a better player than Hank. I'm so sick of all these dumb fairweather fans who freak out when we lose or play poorly.

Yeah I think you're right. We want our team to be so perfect that we forget they're human and they're gonna make mistakes. That's why I don't like it when people chew off Sammy and Lilja heads. Even Dom and Ozzie when they're not playing too hot. We'll get out of this slump at some point. It's not like it'll last til the end of the season. BTW, who do we still have to lowest GA?

I think you pretty muched summed it up. Recently the passes haven't been to great and like previously stated, they seem to be playing with the puck instead of shooting it. I don't think we should worry though. Keep in mind we're THE Detroit Red Wings. We'll get out of this slump in no time.

Ok so changing topic. Did anyone else notice during the third period Lilja had the puck behind the net and there were 2 little kids banging on the glass. Did anyone happen too see the one flip him off? I thought it was pretty funny since the kid was like 5 years old. Pity we lost at least Nick and Sammy scored and we got at least one point. That second point was so overrated.

You hit the nail right on the head there!! It seems like Wings fans expect every player to be the next Steve Yzerman. I think Sammy's just fine here and I'd rather we not trade him. Lebda and Lilja I think we should keep for some defenceive depth. Hudler, however, I think he's good enough to trade to another team. He doesn't get too much ice time here, and might be a good 2nd liner for someone else. I might trade Hudler for a defencemen incase one of our top 6 gets injured. I like him, but he might have more personal success elsewhere.

They can't. My dad, who doesn't usually watch hockey, came in when they were interviewing Cleary and he says "Look at these guys compaired to football and basketball players. They talk about their teams acheivments and not their own" Cleary could have said "Good thing I was there to tie up the game. My team is so lucky to have me." But no, he talked about the entire team effot. That's the biggest difference in hockey. Most of the players are so humble you want to smack them. Like this....I love this one!!!
