Lebda and Kronwall will be a great duo.. elite? no.. but they will work well together for years to come.

He would be scratched on our team also. Downey isnt a full time enforcer.. Boulton isnt a full time enforcer.. interchanging them, giving them time off. putting them together with drake for times when its going to be a scrappy game.. the key to getting rid of him, is getting a gritty guy who doesnt mind being a healthy scratch, and a draft pick to add youth.. and to dump a WORTHLESS player.

Im on the fence with him tbh. he isnt hurting nothing, but he isnt helping anything either really.. why not dish him out to get something that will help.

Sammy is a average player who is forced to play bigger minutes than he can handle and with hightend expectations on his shoulders he just doesnt succeed.. His skills dont fit our team needs. He isnt that good 2-way so 3rd line is out of the question. and he isnt an energy player so 4th line is outta the equation.. only place you can put him is 2nd. and i can name alot of players who should get it before him.. Everyone but downey and ellis. Gettin rid of him would be a classic case of Addition by Subtraction. And an addition of an Energy player who crashes and bangs *Eric Boulton* would be a solid addition for our playoff run. and a draft pick to even out the trade.. 1. Do we have enough secondary scoring? Yes, I wouldnt mind making an attempt at snagging a true top 6 forward if the price was right and it didnt deprive our future development 2. Do we have enough toughness and stamina for a two-month tournament this spring? No, Franzen needs to play alot more chippy. throw his weight around. irritate people the way cleary does. Drake is solid come Play off time i see him being a terror.. Downey as much as i love the guy he isnt the answer for our enfrocer woes cant handle the puck is out there to piss folks off, When the game is tight he is more of a liability then anything. If we could, i wouldnt mind getting a couple scrappy guys with alot of heart. 3. Should we be bold and look to add both back-end toughness and a top 4 forward? Id say look at backend toughness before we look at a top4-6 forward.. Tough hardworking players will be cheaper and easier to come buy, and will help us in the long run. i want the wings to go after Arron Asham and Daniel Carcillo.. Alternate them with Drake and Downey. winnage
