I cant say i ever watched a ncaa hockey game.. i watched a tad of the Mi/OSU game awile back.. but thats been it..

Thats bad.. real bad.

Blame the lockout.. Blame the lack of familiarty with the players.. Blame the evolution of hockey.. Blame the lack of Blue Collor Rough Neck Scoring Threats..People who can mash and score.. Growing up in muskegon, The muskegon fury got me hooked into hockey, sure it wasnt the best form.. but it was great. because there was goals scored and knuckle imprints exchanged..it was beutiful.. cant blame the euros.

as much as it hurts to see homer out for a game, just be glad its not a serious injury.. its not that much of a lose considering players other than zdh have picked up thereplay as of late.. iam more intrigued now to watch this game. to see how others re-act to more PT. and see how the team overall reacts being put under more pressure.. a little bit of adversity never hurt anybody anyway. No Draper,Maltby,Holmstrom.. More Downey and kopecky.. should be fun.

Gratton would be a good fit. And wouldnt cost us an arm and a leg to get. puts up points and has a physical pressnce also.. and he makes 1.5m a year.. so relativly cheap also. gives us enough cap move to pick up a physical depth d-man Denis Gauthier...BrooksOprik, Bran Mezei..Alexei Semenov...Brendan Witt.. would be solid options, all play a physical style of hockey. Might not be the prototypical puck possesion d-man, but playing against teams like Calgary,San Jose,Anaheim,Columbus we will need a physical pressence other then downey. Hell.. Talk to Tyson Nash see if he wants to help downey out with the enforcer roll

how didnt they deserve it? they perseverd over unkind situations *2games2nights* we scored on 2 legitimate goals.. they scored on 1 lucky goal.. we outplayed them 2/3 periods.. i think they deserved it tbh..

we need a player who skates like datsyuk.. fights like downey.. cheap shots like drake.. scores like zette.. hockey sence of lids.. heart of cleary..longevity of chelios.. wanting to stay a wing for whatever price of ozzie/hasek. Think we can find that player around? If not, Id say we are sound.

Yah that long term contract kinda sucks.. it will end up being a situation like backus and the lions.. We are stuck longterm with a less then good OT|D. But since we got him locked up long term, it would hurt us to much by letting them go. Not saying Rafalski sucks now. but i can see him, the situation in the longer run, being similar to the lions/backus situation.
