Highly talented? im hoping your kidding. If he had this talent you speak of, he would be a redwing. Ellis has no toughness and yet he is on the team currently..But he has heart, something grig didnt have. how the hell can you back up a bum?

we hold his rights still.. hopefully he works out hard, learns english in his free time. and steps it up a knotch next year.

When this is your first year in the NHL getting this kind of minutes with line mates who are equaly in-experienced(Filpula) and a player who plays selfishly imo (Sammi), Its going to be really hard to get anything going. Reason being Flip and Rex are off to a really slow start.. When everyone is healthy again this is the lines id like to see. Franz/Datz/Homer Rex/Zette/Sammi Cleary/Flip/Draper Drake/Kopecky/Maltby. Downey Or Ellis IDKnDC

Ill be happy with a player who will crash and bang and contribute on offense when needed. as much as i love fighting. i dont want dead weight or a person who cant contribute to the Offense. My Ideal Player Detroit Redwing, Would be a mix of current players Cleary / Downey / Sammi. a person who will crash/bang/fight/put the puck on a net.

Shortterm? Yes Longterm? No Hank is comfotable with D/H.. Imagine if he could be just as comfortable with Sammi and Rex. Or Sammi and Flip. That would make Hank just that more better for the team. Flip and Rex wont get anybetter as long as there playing on a line with little experience.. Flip/Rex need help to be great NHL is still over whelming them, and Hank will help slow it down for them i believe..

Splitting them up makes sence, beginning of season i wasnt for it. but after seeing how we only have 1 scoring line. i think Datz,Franz,Homer can put up similar numbers to DZH.. and Zette will make Flip better on the 2nd line.. along with whoever else is on the 2nd line. weather its Hudz or Sammy.

Hopefully he gets a start underhis belt before he gets re-recalled back to the griffins.

I wasnt on the Ellis bandwagon at first, but i can see him being a 4th winger on our squad, Downey being sent down to gr, because all he does is crash and bang. cant handle the puck if it was glued to his stick. As much as i like folks who crash and bang, i like people who will work there ass off no matter what and Ellis is just like Cleary. Ellis might not fight like Downey, but that's not what Babs wants he just wnats you to get under the opposite players skin and i think Ellis can easily do it..

Ellis should give that goal to Kopecky for clearing out luoungo

Agree'd i was really liking Hudler. at beggining of season thinking he'd be a stud.. he hasnt shown me much as of yet, but i think all 3 will come around to be solid ed wings.. i think Drapes will probaly move up to 2nd line midway if flip/huds production dosnt kick it up a gear im like Kopecky alot more.. even more then Flip tbh.

Flip needs a sniper on the wing that he can rely on. Sammy is solid can move the puck dosnt make bonehead mistakes has a decent shot. handles puck well.. Rex seems a lil lost, but i think he'll get focused soon. i still got faith in Kopecky to come around. Only person i have lost faith in is Kronner.
