Trade deadline fast approaching - who should we target?

How did Acquilini get his money? How smart can he be if he hired an agent for a GM? -
-sigh-

Vancouver Team 1040 says at deadline, it's been reported to them, if Kesler stays it's because ownership still wants to make playoffs and will not sign off on trading him.- Interesting Media and fans want him moved to alleviate all the frikin drama that's been constantly surrounding this team so they can get back to hockey.
-
I like our team, but I want to LOVE our team! Crap.
-
Yeah, he's only EXACTLY WHAT WE FRIKIN NEED!

Kesler needs to hire Luongo's agent. -
I want action, too, no doubt about it. But too many people think that because someone else got a guy we liked, that KH just sat and ate popcorn watching the deal go down. But like I said yesterday, while some have wondered why we haven't gotten Edler yet, for example, it's because Gillis requested Tatar Sheahan and Smith in return! I want to acquire Edler,Mobutu not at that price! It's worse than dealing with jokers on Craigslist: everyone thinks their s*** is Gold Treasure! I was one of the guys spouting off about trading Franzen for Burrows. Now look , holy crap I'd be beating my head against a wall if KH would have listened to me on that one.
-
This brings up the following serious questions: 1). What deal went down that KH missed, where the winner of that deal resulted in a SCF or even Conference Final ? 2). Where would we be if we would have gotten that deal? Like the Parise/Suter Sweepstakes, for example. Where is Minne now, and where would we be?

Lightning Trade St. Louis to Rangers for Callahan + picks
T.Low replied to TheDetroitRedWings's topic in General
I'd like to get the real dirty details on the snub. I sponsored and managed a pretty competive ( top 20 out of 450 ) http://www.skitosea.com multi-sport relay race team for a few years and that was difficult enough to keep everybody happy, I can't imagine the pressures of the Canadian Olympic Hockey Team. Sheesh. -

Yes, except Stevie didn't really have a chance to win considering St L forced his hand, , yet he still did well. We'll see how well Gillis does with Kesler. -

My new prediction: Howard, Helm, Smith, Quincy, and Jensen to Vancouver for Kesler and Edler. Weiss to Florida for Thomas. Thomas plays out career in hometown until Mrzek is ready. -
James Duffie is on Team 1040 right now talking about his phone call with Lou and his agent.
-
Ouch. Good stuff on Vancouvers "Team 1040 Listen Now" right now, and for the rest of the day, I'm sure. Canucks will keep $800,000 salary per yr.
-
James Duthie confirming this a direct result of Lou getting pissed about not getting the start in the Heritage classic. His agent got on the phone Monday and facilitated a trade.
-
Canucks are Lack-ing in goal. Sorry.

Reporter did also say this Kesler trade thing has been brewing all year. Torts came in and promptly stripped Kesler's "A" from him. Kesler went to Gillis and said he's ready for a trade. Acquilini, (Canucks owner) has to be asking why do players want off his team instead of on his team. -

I like the guy, but he did fan on two one timers in the game I was at last weekend vs the Heat. :-) He did look great on the PP, and man that guy slices the D with beautiful passes. -

Beat reporter on Vancouver s Team 1040 phone interview this morning said the reason Edler did not go to Detroit last summer is because Gillis wanted Tatar, Sheahan, and Smith. This is a good example of why Kenny says it's difficult to get hockey trades done. Sounds worse than dealing with jokers on Craigslist. Also said Holmgren will really go after Kesler because Philly can't afford Pittsburgh getting him, they'll run through the East. Pittsburgh wants to use Kesler as a 3c a la Jordan Stahl, I can't see the Diva in him content with 3c. -

I actually agree with Glen Healey for the first time: If Lou wanted to play in the outdoor game so badly, he should have played better prior.
