Im also tired of all of these losses and hearing Babs say they played a good game.. If your the second best team in the West and you play a good game then you should be finding a way to win most of them..

It's like I said before, who on Montreal is going to step up to Chara?.. I know I cheer for the little fragile old Red Wings but I would be embarassed if Hal Gill was the toughest player on my team. And really.. Montreal and Boston already blew up once this season, and judging by how that went, why the hell would Montreal ever want that to happen again?

I think the only real solution to come out of all of this nonsense should be that obviously they need to do someothing more about the stantion than the like 3 inches of foam they have on it now.. at the speed this game is played at now it was only a matter of time because someone got seriously hurt from hitting one.

Let The NHL Bashing begin. Officially no discipline for Chara. Makes me think that the NHL saw it as an either all or nothing suspension. You either say the hit was OK and give him none or you say it was intentional and give him a long suspension..

I agree with a lot of your points.. But I still don't think Chara deserves a very long suspension. Especially if you look at the trend just this year.. Gillies crushes a guy into the boards concussing him and then proceeds to beat him up, then stands on the ends of the ice after bing tossed from the game and taunst him while he tries to stand up.. and he gets 9 games.. Of course after those 9 games he comes back and immediately gets tossed for 10.. but thats not the point. From what I have seen in most cases the NHL relies a lot on yoru previous actions.. and at least to my knowledge Chara has never been really a dirty player at all.. I also see a lot of Canadians fans comparing it to the Bertuzzi hit and calling for an equal or longer suspension to Chara.. which is ridiculous.. Bertuzzi followed the guy around the ice clearly premeditated and then hit Moore. Chara was in the play and didnt want to get beat to the puck.. EDIT :Just read on twitter, no fine, no suspension for Chara.

I think aside from just wanting the team to pull it together.. my wish for the rest of the season is to see Jimmy's GAA settle down.. at least less than 2.5.. I know Jimmy is good and there have been a lot of factors playing in to his high GAA but going into the playoffs with you starting goalie posting a 2.8 GAA is just a wee bit unsettling.

Gotta agree somewhat with this.. if Chara has that big of a problem with Pacioretty it's not like Chara needs to cheap shot him to get his point across.. Chara can more than handle himself in a fight with anyone in the league.. But the other story would have to be if Pacioretty would actually ever even try to drop the gloves with Chara.

The more I watch the video at regular speed the more I think that the only reason the hit might be suspension worthy at all is because it was interference.. if the puck had of been on his stick and Chara made the exact same hit, it's just an unfortunate bad luck hit and everyone moves on.. but I think you have to have some sort of suspension just because it was a an illegal hit to begin with in a dangerous spot on the ice to top if off. I honestly don't think this deserves any more of a suspension than if Chara had slammed him into the boards anywheres else on the ice when he didnt have the puck..

In that still shot it kinda looks more like Chara is just trying to push him aside and get by him so he can get to the puck first.. but then again thats just a still shot so it doesnt really mean much.

I see a lot of back and forth here on the intent Chara had.. Watching the video, especially in slow motion it is really hard to say Chara didnt try to run him in.. So I gotta think Chara at least had some idea what he was doing, even if it was in the heat of the moment.. But I really really have a hard time trying to think Chara thought he would hit as hard as he did.. I mean it happens a few times per year where someone collides in that exact same spot then gets up and skates away.. But you add the speed they were going with the strength of Chara, you get this as your end result. I really don't see how they can NOT suspend this.. but at the same time I don't see it being very many games.. I'd say maybe 2 or 3 games. In my opinion it's a lot like if you were in a boxing match or a mma fight and you hit somebody hard enough to break their neck or give thema severe injury, obviously you hit them with the intent of hurting them but you never anticipated hurting them that badly.. Just a bad break all around.. But will make for an interesting time if Montreal and Boston happen to meet in the playoffs.. Although it's not like Montreal has anyone who is gonna be able to "deal with" Chara.. (If anyone says Hal Gill, I will come through the internet and slap you)

I agree he played well all game except for that. But I've gotta think a team being down by one in the two minutes is gonna have a bit more push than a team that has just watched their goalie give the game away. Not like it matters.. Seems like the Sharks always show up and the Wings show up in tiny flashes.. On a side note.. I'm sure that there is no actual record.. but Franzen has to far and away have the record for most games without a goal following a 5 goal game.. it's getting redundant now.. he just goes out and floats around the ice.. And I still wanna know why the hell Abby was anywhere near the ice when its 6 on 5 with 2 minutes to go..

So he figured he would fire the team up by scoring on himself? Everyone getting on Mac has good reason to. That was a completely ridiculous play.. Marleau wasnt even winning the race to the puck.. and if you are gonna charge out dump it behind the net into the corner not into the player.

Well.. I know JMac played a decent game aside from that.. but THAT single moment has to shut up all of the people who have said they would rather see him in net than Jimmy. I still have no idea why they played him against the Sharks. A 1 goal playoff style game and you give the game away. If Mac starts anymore games this season then its obvious that Detroit doesn't have any real desire to get to first place. Also, why the f*** is Abby anywhere near the ice in the last 2 minutes with the goalie pulled?
