Well.. The Wings lost to the team they have been beating all season.. So now in a crazy reversal they will beat the team that has been beating them all season! Also. Those 2 SO's look pretty nice on JMac's stats Haha.

Well, I think we can at least expect a better performance than last time against LA. I will be happy to see Zetterberg hit that 50 assist mark.

3 Million per? That seems like a bit of an overpayment.. Maybe for one year but it seems like he is already losing a step now.. I wouldn't wanna be paying him 3 million 3 years from now.

A third jersey is basically an alternate jersey that some teams will use. Every team has a home and away jersey that they use ona regular basis, but basically in an attempt to make a few extra dollars a lot of teams have a 3rd or alternate jersey that they wear every few game, generally just features different colors and/or a different logo than the team usually wears.

Hockeyfights.com posted this video on facebook and I saw one guy comment something along the lines of "Too bad Ott couldn't have got his original pick for a fight.. typical red wing" So I of course had to comment and single him out and make him look just a little bit like a fool. Anyways, does anyone have a count of how many games it's actually been since a Red Wing fought? Seems like forever. I'll settle for a ragdolling of that ugly douchebag, but it would have been so much sweeter to see Big E knock a few of the teeth out of Ott's mouth.. maybe that would finally shut him up for a while.

The Mule is on fire! 5 goals in 12 games! Unstoppable! More seriously though.. I don't mind the Wings losing.. happens to the best teams.. no one goes 82-0.. I just get frustrated beyond belief with how they constantly look like they are totally fine with losing. I mentioned earlier that the Wings brass has a "win with the team you've got" mentality heading into the trade deadline.. which is fine by me. That's why they get paid the big bucks and I'm sitting in my s***ty apartment. But I kind of think it's a bad idea making it so public.. I mean on one hand players could see it as a vote of confidence.. or on the other hand they see it as a free pass to take a game off once in a while.. I would like to see Holland come out and tell the world he was looking to improve.. just to see how well this team could play when everyone is playing to keep their spot on a cup contender. Modano wasn't doing THAT good when he went down.. but I think the best part about him coming back and the team having a healthy set of forwards again will cause a spark simply because when that happens, if you don't come to play there is a good chance that next game someone else is going to be taking your spot.

Thank god it's time for a road trip.

A Big E fight is a win/win. We actually get to see a Red Wing fight AND Big E off the ice for at least 5 minutes. haha.

Well you know it's a bad night when, like most goalies seem to do, Lehtonen plays lights out and then the one puck that does go by him gets called back on the Holmstrom rule. The Wings always seem to have a win with the team you have mentality when it comes to the trade deadline.. which is a great mentality to have.. but I think even if thats the mentality you go with you can't make it public.. maybe float around the idea that you're looking for some improvements.. make some of these players actually play for their jobs.. The Wings just look too comfortable losing.

Well there goes my last bit of faith in Ericsson...

How can it be over?.. The Wings haven't even started playing yet.

Is there any chance Ericsson or Abby can at least slap the piss out of Ott.. Everytime I see his ugly face I want to kick a baby.
