I just can't see him making less than Rafalski. I think if Kenny asked him to take the cut he probably would, but I don't think that would ever even happen. If he comes back he will probably make the same as Rafalski.

Hmm.. Is there any reason you think the Rangers are a lock for it? Or just a feeling? I do agree that they likely keep Canadian teams out since they may contginue with the Heritage classic thing in Feb. I could however see Rangers/Islanders or Rangers/Devils. I definitely think its better for them to put division rivals against each other in these to make it a bit more interesting and take the exhibition feel out of it.

I know its not much but I was looking at the TSN NHL page and noticed their poll for the best player in the NHL right now. Normally I expect to see Wings players get passed over and not mentioned, so I was pleasantly surprised to see Lidstrom mentioned on the list... Until I noticed that they spelled his name wrong. They have it listed as Nik Lidstrom. For the life of me I can't figure out what is so difficult with his name. I remember the NHL awards with the "Lindstrom" jersey and now this haha. Anyways, I wasnt really surprised to see Lids on the lower end of the vote (4.3% currently), only thing that was really surprising was Sidney running away with it and Ovechkin wayy wayy behind in 3rd place with only 4.9% of the vote at the moment. The list includes Crosby (1st), Stamkos (2nd), Ovechkin (3rd), OTHER (4th), Lidstrom (5th), Tim Thomas (6th) and Henrik Sedin (7th). Discuss if you wish haha.

I was at first, and I kinda like Stewie back there, but they are pretty much playing an umbrella anyways which really only leaves one guy actually on the point. It's a nice set up when you can control the puck like they did on the 1st PP, but it gets a bit scary when the other team gets it shorthanded and you only have one guy back.

I think they even mentioned in the broadcast earlier that they are pretty much identical to Florida's.
