Okay.. Anyone blaming Howard for this loss is cleary retarded. It could have easily been over in regulation if it wasn't for him. In the end we got out played for 45 minutes and showed up for the last 10 and a bit in OT.. I'll take the point.

Well.. I cant say im disappointed.. We looked like s*** the first 2 periods but with some help.. okay a lot of help from Jimmy we end 65 minutes tied 1-1 with the defending champs.. Lets hope we improve on the 6-0 record in the shootout haha

So.. Pretty good gameplan so far.. Let them get all of there shots out of the way in the 1st 2 periods and hope they dont get any in the 3rd. Seriously.. how many games can you expect to win when you are outshot 29-11 through 2 periods? especially against Pittsburgh. Jimmy cant be forced to make 50 saves every game if this team wants to make the playoffs.

I can't imagine anyone trying to hit someone over the head with their helmet unless they really hated each other.. but this just seems like a random unplanned scrap.. im sure it was just a heat of the moment thing.. doesnt look that intentional.. fine should be enough unless he developes a habit of hitting players in the head with their helmets..

I dont see how everyone seems to think 20-9-1 i so unattainable.. i mean its been a rough season but thats still only 2 wins for every loss.. With a healthy group of Wings on a team that hasnt really had any hot streaks to speak of.. I think its entirely possible.. Say the healthy Wings manage to throw together a nice 5 game win streak after the Olympic break.. then its only 15-9-1 needed to grab 100 points.. You see it almost every year in atleast one conference.. all it takes is one late season push or hot streak to make the playoffs.

Well.. Its good to see everyone in high spirits around here.. I'm not gonna lie.. I was a bit confused at work last night.. I had the scoreboard window open from NHL.com and every couple minutes i'd bring it up to check on the score.. i see its 2-2.. thats okay.. then 3-2 and 4-2.. i figure theres no way they can lose.. then i see its 4-3 with like 30 seconds left.. i still figure gaurenteed win.. i check it a few minutes later.. 5-4 loss in OT.. This means we will require like a 4 goal lead in the 3rd Period to make sure no end of game meltdown can cost us the win.. My Prediction: Wings 5 - Kronwall, Bertuzzi x2, Zetterberg, Helm Wild 3 - Koivu, Earl, Havlat Let's Go Wings!
