Hey Guys. I Just Thought Of A Full Proof Plan For Winning Games. Lets score 2 quick goals in the first period.. then do nothing. Im pretty sure that should work every time.

I actually designed one pretty similar to that not too long ago haha.. I plan on getting a couple wings tats in the next month or two (my custom one and the octopus) so when I do I'll throw up some pictures.

You are correct. I dont blame Ozzie for being frustrated. I completely understand that. Hell even if he says he's frustrated and wants to play more, thats okay with me.. shows some passion.. But instead of that he pretty much says it isnt fair and even takes a shot at the coach while kinda sounding like he expects to lose this game.. For years I've heard about how much of a great team player Ozzie is, but this doesnt sound like it to me.

I agree with you there. Ozzie is still Ozzie. Even if he plays lights out tonight and stops 50 shots (Lets all hope they dont get 50 shots).. With the offensive struggles this team has had all year I don't know how we can even risk playing Ozzie in that many games.. Its no secret Ozzie is notorious for bad goals and soft goals.. And well known for getting rattled and giving up back to back goals.. With the way this team has played offensively.. you give up those back to back soft goals.. and its pretty much game over.

I hope those are Leino's stats after the game and not Ozzies

I could agree with you more easily if the Wings were comfortably in a playoff spot.. But Jimmy's been hot and every point is so valuable I can see why Babcock would be weary about putting an inconsistent Ozzy back into the mix.. Especially when playing against teams ahead of Wings in the standings. Babcock took the safe bet and saved him for a game like this against a top Eastern team. If Ozzie gets routed we go back to Howard the rest of the way.. no harm done, if Ozzie shines then he has some tough choices to make in the upcoming games.

I agree.. m not exactly sure what the reasoning behind putting Cleary 4h or 5th is.. unless Babcock knows something we dont and during shootout drills in practice Cleary is a machine..

I'm not sure what Ozzie is thinking.. maybe he's just frustrated because he expecte dto be #1 this year and have Howard backing him up.. But I definitely don't think there is any problem with playing your #1 goalie every game you can.. Look at teams like NJ and Vancouver.. I know Howard isnt Brodeur or Luongo but if you have a #1 goalie you play him all you can.. How many games has Dannis started in NJ? Like 2 or 3?.. Thats what being a back up goalie is.. If you don't wanna be the backup goalie then shut your mouth and play like you wanna be #1 when you do get your chance, that's all there is to it.

I could be wrong but on all of Helms breakaways I have seen this season he usually ends up rushing himself and just taking a shot into the goalies pads.. It would be interesting to see what he could accomplish with time and space and the peace of mind to know he isnt being chased.. Maybe if he has a deke or two in his bag of tricks and could manage to pull them off with his high speed.. But i think just relying on speed and a shot is hoping way too much for a lucky bounce.

Well. I unfortunately have to miss this game because I will be at work.. Lets hope the Wings put on a performance that makes me regret missing it. If the team doesnt play a solid 60 in this one I could see it gettng ugly. My Prediction: Wings 5 - Datsyuk, May, Meech, Helm, Lidstrom Capitals 4 - Ovechkin x2, Green, Knuble Let's Go Wings!

I Agree with you there.. maybe one bad goal in the game.. which happens to the best.. and a tough time in the shootout.. To me that doesnt mean the reigns get handed back over to Ozzy.. Especially against a team like Washington where we need our best goalie to play.. and I believe at this time our best goalie is still Howard.
