I was just watching That's Hockey on TSN before the Wings game and they mentioned that Visnovsky might be available out of Anaheim.. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before but it seems like most of the Ducks talk has been around Getz/Perry/Ryan.. I think if the Wings know Stuart wants to be in Cali then it could be a decent move if they could pick up Visnovsky.. I THINK his cap hit is 5.2 or something, which isn't terrible and I believe he still has another year left on his contract, if he could play like he did last year then it could at least soften the blow of having Lidstrom retire.

Big guy who throws his weight around?.. Do you know a different Gill that I am unaware of?.. Gill is definitely a big guy.. but the way he plays he might as well be 5'9".. If people here get pissed at Ericsson then I would hate to see the reaction with that giant pylon in a Wings jersey.

I think the funniest thing I have heard was last season, I can't remember who the Wings were playing but it was an away game and the stream hadn't blacked out the commercials and they were getting ready to show a clip of a fat guy in a Wings jersey and a kid walking down the hallway to show as they came back from the break and Ken said something along the lines of "what about if I said two Red Wings fans made the trip to enjoy the game" and I think it was Larry Murphy that stuck in with "yeah, and it looks like a third could be on the way"

And then Atlanta 2015!.. Oh.. wait..

I would hate to see Stuart go, but you gotta think if Holland knows Stuart is leaning towards leaving in the summer he could look to trade him by the deadline, could even be perfect timing with the Ducks looking to sell and make changes.

Okay Kesler, fair enough maybe he should expect to have to drop the gloves if he hits people like that, but if you continue to skate around with your head down maybe you should expect to be hit like that and not be such a ***** about it when you do.

Having both Conner and Helm on the same line is almost unfair to other teams. The game against Pittsburgh was pretty even except when that line was on the ice and they just seemed to dominate on the forecheck. Conner seems to be a slightly less physical version of Helm with a touch more playmaking ability.. If he can keep up this pace there is no way he gets sent down.

I actually remember watching a game this season on TV (I can't remember whether it was TSN or FSD) and one of the commentators mentioned that after that game all that the Sharks were talking about back in the locker room was how amazed they were at that goal.

I watch a lot of NJ hockey and he was decent when he played there then okay when he played for Atl and hasn't done much since.. And seems to me Detroit already has one player they picked up to fill the roll of reclamation project in Brunnstrom. If he goes anywhere in the NHL I would think maybe CBJ or some bottom feeder in desperate need of offense.

I'm pretty sure that statement was saying that he ISN'T a cancer..

If negs could kill then I feel like LGW would need a pretty decent sized grave yard. In any case. Go Wings! Mule-trick tonight? I think so.

World's Meanest "Yo Momma" Joke.

Still seems so wrong having Dats at the bottom of the team with a -4.. So hopefully he scores 4 ES Goals be himself to rectify it.

There's nothing like being in the right place at the right time for over 17 years..

I think that without a doubt there must be players that do, but I don't think you'd ever be able find enough evidence just looking at the stats for olympic years to say for sure that this player does and this player doesn't.

I hear that's the same procedure that Jimmy needs before he can become an elite goaltender.

I don't think it's a case of Bertuzzi sucks yet.. He's had a rough start as most of the team has, but I will admit he has probably had more glaring giveaways and errors than any other player. I have started paying attention to Bert play a lot more in the last few games and, not trying to whine about officiating, I think the majority of his bad penalties are reputation calls.. I am not saying they aren't new NHL "penalties" but he seems to have a really short leash as to what he can get away with compared to a lot of other players.

So, I guess I will be the one to ask it, what would people think if the Wings picked up Avery on re-entry waivers? It would be a really cheap pick up and it could spark some guys if he played well so I don't think I would be very upset by it, especially after sending Brunnstrom down.

I think the taking of Cialis implies that no matter how touchy you get with the subject, there are no results.

If his 17th post is anything like his 16th then someone should do us a favour and make sure he doesn't get an 18th.

No, no, no. Not only is Howard a new father, but apparently Conklin is IMPOTENT! We're doomed!

I think I'd have Lidstrom on the 1st D Line over Subban But on a more important note, this is what all female hockey fans should look like.

When you have a team as purely talented as the Wings are and can win soley by relying on talent some nights then it's a given that once in a while there's going to be a small slump where it looks like they aren't trying. But I will take a 5-2 record, if it gets to be 5-5+ then I will give the ideas in the OP some more consideration. In my opinion, I would rather get frustrated (and I'll admit, it's VERY frustrating) watching the Wings take a couple of nights off and have a 5-2 record than watch a team play hard every night and have a 1-7-1 record like Columbus does.

You kind of make it sound like there are 5 other guys who are 6' 9" who are constantly challenging him.. I think Chara fought a lot more when he was younger and doesn't want to do it very much now because he's more important to his team, but you can't fault the guy for being big and standing up for team mates. I do remember Chara pummeling Hal Gill and Boris Valabik who are both "his size" and he also fought a number of other heavyweights like Laraque. Who knows what he was saying to Cam Ward but what is the point of being 6' 9" if you can't use it to intimidate other players and try to keep the other team in line when you feel its necessary?
