Ok.. I still don't think Ovechkin will get suspended unless they are really desperate to make a big statement about headshots, intentional or not. But one thing I don't understand is how people can throw in Chris Pronger's suspension along side Ryan Hollweg?... Hollweg is a really dirty player who got suspended for hitting people from behind, what.. 4 or 5 times in a row?.. The NHL was hard on him because he obviously wasnt learning his lesson.. And Chris Pronger.. well I know we are all Detroit fans and hate the guy.. but I hate to break it to ya.. Chris Pronger is a STAR PLAYER... maybe he is not as much of a superstar as Ovie but its not like we are talking about someone who hasnt accomplished anything... This guy is usually right around the when it comes time for the Norris trophy to be awarded and he has been suspended how many times?... People are making it sound like star players get away with everything and no star player has ever been suspended..

Wow.. what a dirty hit.. I know its early but we should probably nominate this for most misleading thread title of the year.. How can it be a dirty hit when it was hardly a hit at all.. seriously... do you think that if Ovechkin had made such a dirty hit and injured one of tampa's players he would have been standing over there with all of Tampa's players checking on Heward?.. You really want to compare this with the Van Ryn hit?... because it is undisputabley the exact same circumstances?.. well how about comparing it to the 5 or 6 other times in about every game where people get nudged from behind and hit the boards?.. This hit is just a case of s*** Happens.. If you want to suspend Ovechkin for being careless then maybe we should also suspend Heward for being careless and going in like that?..

Yeah I know.. that was a bad choice of words.. but we really are finding ways to lose we just arent losing... I mean these are just regular season games against mediocre opponents so I dont even want to think what good, hungry teams will do to us in the playoffs when we play like this..

Looks like the Wings decided to give us all a break tonight and not wait till the 3rd period to blow the lead.. I still want to know what Conklin was thinking on that last goal.. he just went down and stayed there and just watched Toews.. he didnt even flinch when the shot was takin like somehow he thought he had it covered.. I expect to see Ozzie in the 2nd.. hopefully we will wake the hell up..

I hope you arent suggesting that Hossa and Datsyuk dont have chemistry together.. Not trying to start anything but thats just how I interpreted this whole thing about different lines and chemistry... because Dats and Hoss are great together and its not like Z is exactly struggling on the 2nd line..

i dont see why we cant have Luongo.. I mean look at all of that free cap space we have.. might as well trade Ozzie straight up for him and we will all live happily ever after

Yeah.. I definitely remember some not so great performances when he was here.. But its true really.. When you have as many great players in your system as we do theres just no way to keep them all and have them all play to their potential and I would much rather have a surplus of talent that we dont have enough room for than be a team that has the opposite..

I dont even inderstand..last season I watched every game and no matter who we were playing I had full confidence that we could beat them.. Now, this season, since we were supposed to be even better.. still the best defence in the league and we added Hossa.. and yet thus far into the season instead of being confident that the wings can find a way to win the game I end up thinking "what are they gonna do to throw this one away?".. I cant even stand it anymore.. watching us out shoot every team and be in control then the other team walks down the ice and scores.. but oh well.. I guess we still have 60 games to figure it out..

Finally this team shows some killer instinct.. Had me second guessing after that center ice goal on Ozzie but I think maybe they stepped up and won the game for him after that one..

Didnt see anyone mention this yet but incase anyone was wondering Helm has already been Reassigned to GR and Mccarty has been recalled plus Cleary has been cleared to play Friday night.. So.. I guess Helm was good while he lasted.. still dont understand not finding someway to have him in the line up..
