I just got on here but I have been watching the whole game.. And I believe in almost every game I have watched this season, which has been most of them, Sammy has taken ridiculous penalties at completely horrible times.. But I guess I should be happy we havent taken 7 penalties.. yet... Also.. That Lilja giveaway gave me a chill as I flashed back to the Anaheim series 2 years ago..

Just checked TSN and they now have the deal as a three-year, $11.4 million contract. So i think it was a pretty decent signing.. Leclaire is a pretty decent goalie.

Yes.. but I guess last is last.. I don't recall at any point in NHL history a team having to forfeit a game.. but I dont really think that a team would let it get that far.. they will reach the minimum even if it means overpaying for some lower-tier players just to get them up there..

Biggest no-brainer is the history of this award.. even though i wouldnt have been surprised if Sidney had somehow won this award too

I am not certain but I am pretty sure that I heard on one of the free agent shows when they were discussing salaries and I believe it was LA they were discussing about being so far below the minimum. If I remeber correctly they said that the team would have to forfeit every game until they were compliant.

I definitely have a strong distaste for the Ducks.. but as someone who lives in the atlantic provinces of Canada.. 90% of the hockey fans here are all on board with the Maple Leafs.. and maybe the team doesnt annoy me so much anymore now that they are pretty much obsolete and dont have Tucker playing for them anymore.. all in all.. it has given me a bit of happiness watching them tear themselves apart from the inside out and still have no idea whether they are rebuilding or trying for the cup..

I am so pumped that the Wings are playing a pre-season game in Halifax!.. I have been a huge Wings fan for as long as I can remember and this will be the first time I get to see them live.. even though with any luck I will be able to finally go down to Detroit and see a game at the Joe sometime this year, this game in Halifax will be a great warm-up

Correct me if I am wrong, but does his brother, Marcel Hossa, not wear the number 81?.. I believe he does, so I guess its possible that he would wear the same number as his brother. But I also wouldnt be surprised to see him just end up with another number all together..

I figured Green would get around 5mil so I cant say its that much of an overpayment as he was a great player this year for both the Caps and Canada. But as for Perry and Malone I think its quite a bit of overpayment.. I have never though that Perry was a great player or had superstar potential, but Burke is the greatest GM in the NHL so who am I to question him?.. and Malone.. wow.. I would have thought in the 2-3mil range.. but I guess Tampa sees something in him that I dont for 4.5mil..
