I was just wondering the same thing..

To be honest I think it would be a very nice day when I watch Hossa in a Red Wings uniform. But that being said I am not willing to make a deal that could hurt us in the long run. Ever since the Bertuzzi deal last year I have lost my taste for trading away prospects so I think Kindl and Ericsson are out of question. The most I would be willing to ship out for Hossa would probably be Hudler, Kronwall and a few conditional draft picks (the condition being he resigns with the wings next year).. Other than that I don't really see it being in our favour to unload a handful of high potential players to get 2/3 of a season out of a player who may or may not benefit our team.

Well.. Lets see.. I predict that this game will not be close whether that is good or bad is yet to be seen.. but heres to hoping that it will be good.. Wings - 4 (Kopecky, Lidstrom, Z and Cleary) Flames - 1 (Sarich)

I know there are probably way too many Forsberg threads already but I just read this on TSN's website I know its only a weekend of playing, but thats not what was interesting. I believe the end part saying he has yet to decide on a return to the NHL was interesting since we have all heard the reports of him deciding to come back to either Colorado or Ottawa.. EDIT: I didnt see that this topic was already posted on the other board. Oh well.. I guess this will just serve as yet another place to discuss thoughts on Forsberg as a possible future Red Wing.

This seems to happen way to often.. We double teams in shots and out play them but it still manages to be a much closer game than it should be.

This is why I have found it totally worth the $30 a month to have Center Ice on TV. I havent had any problem whatsoever with Blackouts because the only game thus far to be blacked out for the Wings was on TSN.

Even if he didnt I am sure that he wouldn't have backed down if the refs didnt step in.. and he did drop his gloves.. well atleast one of them..

I would have liekd to see the refs let Lilja go at it there.. that would have made my night.. I think it could be a long night for Hemsky..

I dont think anyone can come on here and argue against the fact that Hudler's GWG the other night was a thing of beauty and that the guy has some great potential. I have been a big fan of Hudler's ever since he scored a hat trick in the preseason, last year I believe. This guy has a wicked wrist shot and the skill to put numbers on the board. Time will tell whether he will become a superstar but I would much rather have him playing in a Red Wings' jersey than on the opposing team, that much is for sure.

I hope that we havent played good against teams like SJ and Vancouver just to blow it against the Oilers so I am going to hope that we keep the pedal on the floor for this one.. Wings 5 (Lidstrom, Z,Z,Huds, Homer) Oilers 2 (2 Randomly Lucky 3rd or 4th Liners)

I dunno how important it is for the Red Wings at the moment to have Datsyuk lighting it up on the scoreboard. But you have to admit that even if he isnt exactly on fire with his goal scoring, If I was to tell you that Datsyuk would miss the next 10 games then this place would be in a panic. I think that says a lot about his play so far this season right there.

So far I have watched almost every minute of every game this season and I don't know if anyone has noticed this but I can think of probably 3 or 4 times when Dats was away with a pretty decent breakaway and each time he shot the puck high over the net on the glove side... So I don't know if its his stick, the pressure and maybe it is a lagging injury.. But I am sure that Dats will be finding the score sheet a little more regularly once he finds his groove.

Hmm.. I dont know why Downey is out and not Kopecky.. but either way.. Wings 4 (Rafalski, Z, Ellis, Homer) Canucks 1 (Sedin)

Let me think.. umm.. Im gonna have to go with Detroit 5 (Homer, Z, Kopecky, Z, Lidstrom) and SJ 1 (Roenick)..

I agree that they are different look and good but I think a lot of the new road jerseys look way too similiar.. Btw I was just glad Detroit didnt go too old school with there new jerseys

Must be better because now I can finally tell who we are playing against.. I would have been completely lost without seeing VANCOUVER above the logo.. lol
