I have never ever seen any of this greatness that some people say about Howard. But i dont really watch college hockey so.. except for that one awesome game michigan vs michigan State in a football stadiium lol! I have only seen Howard play here.. and when he did he looked out of position all the time and anything shot at him that he did save he would always let out a huge rebound chance.. so yea I'm not too excited about the so called awesome Osgood / Howard tandem

LOL!! So true... Watching Giguere in net makes me wanna barf. He's had that huge equipment for a while now so im assuming its legal so i guess its just that no other goalie in there right mind would feel comfortable with that kind of equipment. I mean the man's chest protector comes out about 5 feet and his shoulder pads are insane and exceed above his helmet when he decides to smash down onto the ice and go butterfly.

Wooo!!! Go Wings!!! People at these forums off Hudler and Flippula's backs yet? I really hope Holland does not trade these guys cause i think these two are gonna be even more awesome in due time.

Yea always heard great things about Liv and would have loved to see him play. But it looks like our future is a goalie named Jimmy Howard....

Hopefully Hasek get's healthy and comes back soon. Wether you guys like it or not Dom is our shot at the cup this year and was last year. I like Osgood and all but when it comes playoff time and your goalie is Osgood.. yea watch out for those blueline shots Ozzie! lol But anyways the games Howard has played here he's been horrible and looks like crap in net. The games i saw him play the past couple of years he looked nervous in net and if he made any saves the puck would bounce back out every time for easy rebounds. Now I'm not bashing him and i know he's young and we put him in too early the past couple of years but i have never seen him play in GR and i have only seen him here and i was not impressed. Love Ozzie and I'm sure he can carry the load and Good Luck to Howard! If he does get to play maybe he's more mature and prepared!

Agreed. Come on guys the season just started lol. And there still young.. PATIENCE! Also agree on this as well cause these two could really benefit with Franzen! Only time will tell

Holy crap!! That would be sweet to see Sundin in Detroit!! I mean yea.. not for a Leaf fan.. but the guy does deserve a shot at the cup and with us is definitly an improvement! I love Sundin and the Leafs though so it would be a sad day for them.. But if we win the cup I'm sure he can take it over to Toronto so they can drool over it lol. I'm not ready to give up on flippula, hudler, kronwall, grigs, kopecky, but um... for Sundin... trade away Holland! lol

Well they are a very good team with big guys. Getzlaf is just scary when he plays.. and he makes me nervous everyime he has the puck lol. They have solid D and two very good goalies. Also Duck Guy is a member here and is very respectful to our team and this forum so im gonna try my best here to bite my toungue on Giguere lol. There is definitly a rivalrly already here and it may start getting hotter if we meet them in the playoffs again. Plus Pronger and the Wings have never seen eye to eye. What he did to Holmstrom is ridiculous and remember what he tried on Stevie in 02? Haha Yzerman dodged him and it was bye bye for cry baby Pronger hehe! But I can't deny how awesome of a D man Pronger is.. he's a dirty player but gotta admit he's a darn good D man. If he wanted to come here i would be all for it! I used to dislike Chelios in chicago and im sure many wings fans did as well but once he came here he's a fan favorite.

Don't really care for Doan which i guess is weird around this forum.. Too me he is too streaky and inconsistant. I would much rather see Kronwall, flippula, Hudler, mature and grow in Detroit and see where it goes from there. If were gonna trade these guys i would hope for something better maybe? But i dont really mind Flippula, Hudler, Kronwall on our team right now there young and full of talent that hopefully works out in the future! Be patient guys ya never know how things will work out. Be happy we are a playoff team every year and i actually enjoy our fast and skilled small team. Love the matchups it gives vs the Sharks and Ducks. It's like David vs Goliath. BTW why does everyone around these forums want us to be so much like the Ducks and Sharks? Big players who bang and crash!? Our team is fun to watch and very exciting!! Remember this is the Red Wings!! Not any other NHL team who so call bang and crash and goes by the same boring system like everyone else. Some grit is good and we have that.. maybe we can add another player before the trade deadline but besides that i like our team! The season just started lol give it time then maybe i'll eat crow and want other players because flip, hudler, kronwall apparently suck lol. Grigs i wouldnt mind to trade him.. i mean we do have a lot of depth and prospects but lets keep some too. Would like to see Grigs with us at some point though just to see more of him and see what he offers.

OMG that is one of the scariest things i have ever seen... lol All those years he was our rival in Colorado and the many times he owned us... hasen't left my mind completely yet.. and seeing Forsberg in our uniform gave me the shivers lol..

No doubt about it Lidstrom will get his number retired here. He's one of the best D-men i have ever seen and probably one of the best ever! Here's hoping to see more great things from our captain and more of his wicked slapshots lighting the lamp!
