That butterfly crap with little to no movement bores me to death lol. Was awesome to have Hasek in Detroit for the little time we had him! Lidstrom definitly but Ozzie is just not and never has been an elite goalie. Yes he has all those wins and cups with Detroit but lets get serious folks. Is Osgood one of the best goalies of all time? No. Ozzie has acomplished a lot of team oriented accolades but his name should not be up there with Sawchuk!! Now with that said Osgood has some work ahead of him and with this season and hopefully many more great seasons it could be a possibility because he is not the Osgood of old and has re tooled himself as a goalie.

Even i will admit no. Maybe if Dom would have not retired the first time and was our goalie from 2001-2008 then maybe a better chance but still probably not a shot. Hasek deserves his 39 retired in Buffalo and hopefully that happens soon!

It was time for Shanny to move on. This is a new team and he would not fit in anymore. But i do miss him and wish him all the best!

Oh i know can't wait! Whenever we have a no cup season i always watch our cup run dvd's from 97, 98, 2002. And that's how i end a upset season lol.

Agreed. I say save the money for Zetterberg, Franzen, Filppula, Hudler, Helm, etc. These guys are our future and i think it's finally time to quit going after veterans every year to improve our team.

Yea a buddy of mine who watches the Wings from time to time came over and we watched game 3. We were dieing of hysterical laughter because of the Crosby obsession! We laughed so hard at the end of the 1st period when somebody ran up to Crosby before he could even got off the ice and shoved a red microphone in his mouth! LOL we lost it at that point because i myself have never seen an interview on the ice like that lol. I believe every intermission was a story about Crosby as well i dunno we played NHL 08 for the the last intermisson because the laughter died down and we could not take the Crosby infatuation anymore. They zoomed in and out of his face all friggin nite and it is totally ridiculous!

We played very below average this game and only lost 3-2. What does that tell ya? I have asked before and knowbody responds to my posts have the time lol.. is Chelios injured or a healthy scratch? Why is Lilja playing over him? If you look at the game as a whole we played bad and almost won. If not for a few breaks here or there we would be up 3-0 in the series. Osgood let in two weak goals but was solid besides that. The first goal on him was a turnover and not his fault but it was a weak shot that squeaked five hole on him. And then the third goal you gotta admit brought back memories of Yzerman and Shanny with that bank shot off of the back of wandering and lost Ozzie who was flailing his stick behind the net lol. After being initially upset after that 3rd goal i could actually appreciate it once i cooled down. And boy what a fun game to watch! Back and forth hockey! Was intense. Hopefully we can steal the next game in there arena and take this series!

So is Chelios injured or what!? I know Lilja is a big body and all but i would really prefer Chelios man... is there a reason he is not playing?

I like Messier i do... but does this guy come off as a glory hog to anybody else? For his retirement he got to skate around with the stanley cup. He has the stanley cup in comercials. He is constantly being touted as the best captain ever. I'm just sick of this guy i dunno.. plus he hung around the NHL about 7 years too long... Oh and did i hear there making a new NHL award named after him for being a leader or something? This guy could not even tie Yzerman's skates let alone be a better Captain then Stevie.

Let's hope this is gonna be the only one in the series and we can move on and keep on rolling! Complete idiotic call IMO and i guess you could say yes it is questionable.. (not really) but why is the ref so freaking fast and certain to make the call? I mean i know that Bettman is trying to turn the NHL into a sissy league but Fluery was way out of net and isnt there some point where these overly padded players are fair game on the ice like anybody else? I mean you cannot deny this is starting to mess with Holmstroms game and Holmstrom has been doing this for years.. why now this year is everything he does illegal? And i also thought the crease rule was done with after 99 with the whole Hasek and Hull thing? Why are the refs freaking out about the crease again?

The pens fans on this topic are coming on here and being very respectful so can we just show them the same? Without being cocky and arrogant? But the reply with the weathering of the refs was so true haha. Was a good game! Go Wings!

Things happen for a reason. That Osgood and this one we have now are two completely different goalies. Would Ozzie have become what he is now without trials and tribulations along the road?

Nice to see us take such a close game in the playoffs. Dallas definitly shot themselves in the foot this game. How many shots can they shoot wide lol? Especially that 4 on 1!! Was laughing so hard after that lame 4 on 1 chance. Also Ozzie really came out and cut off the angle tonight man! Not much on him but he did what he needed to again! Good game and Go Wings!! Not a big deal to me... Ozzie stuck his stick out a bit and clipped him obviously and then it seemed Riberio snapped and smashed his stick on Ozzie's chest protector. I'm sure Ozzie did not feel a thing. No big deal and that was a nice dramatized fall by Ozzie hehe and yea like stated above that Turco on Flip was hilarious!!
